"Though I'm weak and beaten down, I'll slip away into the sound"

Steve's voice came over the coms.

"Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off." He instructed. That was Ella realised that they would have to choose, kill the civilians they didn't save or the rest of the world.

"The next wave's gonna hit any minute. What have you got, Stark?" Steve asked Tony again.

"Well, nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface if you guys can get clear." Tony said

"I asked for a solution, not an escape plan." Steve said.

"Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're going to have to make a choice." Tony said.

"Cap, these people are going nowhere. If Stark finds a way to blow this rock..." Natasha, who had re-joined the fight, said.

"Not 'til everyone's safe." Steve demanded.

"Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math there." Natasha tried to get through to the seventy year old man.

"I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it." He said.

"I didn't say we should leave." She turned to look at Steve. "There's worse ways to go. Where else am I gonna get a view like this?"

"Glad you like the view, Romanoff. It's about to get better. Nice, right? I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do." Fury said, as the Helicarrier flew into view.

"Fury, you son of a bitch." Steve said, watching to Helicarrier.

"Oooh! You kiss your mother with that mouth?" Fury joked. Lifeboats flew towards the edge of the floating land, a way for the civilians to get to safety.

"This is SHIELD?" Pietro's voice sounded out over the coms, relaxing Ella. At least he was okay.

"This is what SHIELD's supposed to be." Steve responded.

"This is not so bad." Ella could hear his grin through his voice.

"Let's load 'em up." Steve instructed. Ella was broken out of her trance of listening to the others when Ultron came back into the church.

"You think you're saving anyone? I turn that key and drop this rock a little early and it's still billions dead. Even you can't stop that." He taunted Thor, who had turned up at the church.

'I am Thor, son of Odin, and as long as there is life in my breast, I am...running out of things to say! Are you ready?" Thor replied, and a hammer came out of nowhere, knocking Ultron away.

"It's terribly well balanced." Vision said examining the hammer.

"Well, if there's too much weight, you lose power on the swing, so." Thor explained when a Tony's voice came onto the coms.

"Thor, I got a plan." Tony said.

"We're out of time. They're coming for the core." Thor said.

"Avengers, time to work for a living." Tony instructed and the rest of the Avengers joined Thor, Vision and Ella at the church.

"You good?" Pietro asked Ella and Wanda.

"Yeah." Wanda replied, while Ella just nodded, grinning when Vision did the same. He narrowed his eyes at her, and she responded with an angelic face.

"Romanoff? You and Banner better not be playing "hide the zucchini.""

"Relax, Shell-head. Not all of us can fly." She said and ran into the church. "What's the drill?"

"This is the drill. If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose." Tony said, and Ultron flew in front of them.

"Is that the best you can do?" Thor asked, and Ultron summoned the rest of the bots to him.

"You had to ask." Steve groaned.

"This is the best I can do. This is exactly what I wanted. All of you, against all of me. How could you possibly hope to stop me?" Ultron told them.

"Well, like the old man said. Together." Tony said, and Ella prepared herself, knowing that she'd have to fight. She prepared herself, before focusing her powers onto the robots. She flicked her head to the side and hundreds of robots fell down, dead. After the use of her powers, Ella grew tired, but she pushed the tiredness away. She needed to stay strong for the rest of the fight.

"You know, with the benefit of hindsight...." Ultron started to retreat when he saw that he wasn't winning.

"They'll try to leave the city." Thor said.

We gotta move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats, I'll sweep for stragglers, be right behind you.

"What about the core?

"I'll protect it. It's my job." Wanda said and Steve, Natasha, Clint left. Ella gave the girl a hug, then Pietro.

"Stay alive." She whispered before leaving the church, knowing that she was needed elsewhere.

"Costel? We were in the market. Costel?!" A woman on the life bats was calling out for her little brother. Clint ran off to find the boy, Ella in hot pursuit. She wouldn't let this man die and leave his children fatherless.

"Thor, I'm gonna need you back in the church." Tony's voice sounded over the coms.

"Is this the last of them?" Thor asked.

"Yeah. Everyone else is on the carrier." Steve replied.

"You know, if this works, we maybe don't walk away." Tony said.

"Maybe not." Thor agreed. Suddenly, an Ultron flew and started shooting at them.

"I got no strings, so I have fun. I'm not tied up to anyone." He sung, aiming at Clint. He prepared himself, protecting the boy with his body.

"No!" Ella screamed, and everything slowed down to a snail's pace. She watched as Pietro ran in front of a Clint and the boy, prepared to die for them. Ella watched as the bullets began to fire, and she walked in front of Pietro, her thoughts filled of Wanda. The first bullet hit her chest, and then time returned to normal. Ella didn't cry out as the remaining bullets hit her.

Vision fell to the ground and Tony and Thor looked back to him.

"Ella!" He cried, and suddenly Ultron was atomized. They looked over the city, and saw that Ultron bots were atomizing everywhere.

"Is Eleven doing this?" Tony asked Vision, when he got back up.

"She's dying."
