"I will try to fix you"
"Eleven!" Pietro caught the dying girl in his arms, as she fell back. She smiled at him.
"Still..." She coughed up some blood, "Beautiful?"
"Yes," Pietro said, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Save your strength and stay live." He carried her back to the lifeboat, hoping she would be okay. As they got on the boat, Pietro immediately went to the doctors, hoping they could help her. They ushered him out of the room, leaving him to wait on his own. Clint came over to the young man, who has holding his head in his hands.
"Hey," He put his hand on Pietro's shoulder. "She's very strong, she'll pull though." He nodded, the only way Clint could tell that he registered what he said. As the lifeboat began to fly up to the Helicarrier, the rest of the team found them.
"What happened? Where's Eleven?" Steve asked looking around for the girl.
"She's been shot." Clint said, his voice cracking at the end. Steve's face fell and he stepped back, shocked. They continued to wait, wait for the doctor to come out and tell them what's happened. Vision and Wanda joined the team, Pietro apologising profusely when he realised he had left her. Then the doctor came out.
"Is she alive?" Clint asked, standing up.
"Yes. But you have to understand she's lost a lot of blood-" The doctor was cut off.
"Is she going to survive this?" Pietro asked.
"I'm doing everything I can, but the wounds were already infected when she arrived-" Pietro pushed past the doctor, followed by the rest of the team.
"Pietro," Ella breathed as she saw him, "Vis,"
"Hey, kid." Tony said, "How are you holding up?" Ella laughed, but started to cough up blood.
"Ella." Vision put his hand on her arm, the same light coming out of it.
"Stop it," She muttered, shrugging his hand off, "You were the closest thing I had to family." Ella looked over the group of heroes.
"We know, we know." Pietro squeezed her hand tightly.
"What's sustaining your life?" Tony asked, making the team glare at him. "What? None of these machines are on." He pointed around the room.
"It's okay." Ella said, "Vision is, he's trying to give me back the life I gave him."
"Vis," Wanda said, walking over to the man who saved her. Ella coughed again, trying to hide her pain.
"Just hold on a little longer, okay? He's gone. The bad man's gone." Pietro told her "We'll be home soon and we can get you your own bed. You can eat as many Eggos as you want." She had told him that they were her favourite food.
"Promise?" Ella smiled at him.
"Promise," Pietro said, kissing her hand.
"Ella, don't do this." Vision said, as if he read her mind.
"Let me go Vis, I'll be alright." He sighed before, retracting his hand from her body. Her hands and feet started to atomize.
"Eleven, what's happening?" Pietro hurriedly asked, watching as the girl began to slowly atomize.
"Goodbye, Pietro." She said before closing her eyes, exploding into atoms.
"Eleven! Eleven!" He cried out, before sobbing into his hands. Wanda wrapped her arms around her brother, allowing him to cry into her shoulder. Vision closed his eyes as he saw his first friend disappear, invisible tears slipping down his face. The rest of the team bowed their heads to the fallen hero. They watched as the blinking dot of hope finally went out.
