Fighting for peace

AN: Hey guys sorry for not updating this book! I've been busy with school and other books that I've been working on. The story will now he told in 3rd person because writing in first person isn't working for me anymore. Enjoy the story!

The footsteps were in all different directions. Some down the hall, some on the upper floor. The man had nowhere to go. He hid in a gap in the wall as two of the Jabbawockeez passed him. When he thought it was safe to come out, he ran down the opposite direction down the hall. The boys then met up with each other and looked around the room, not making a sound as they did so. A noise came from behind some crates, and the boys walked towards it slowly. The man was hiding behind the crates, and he had shuffled on a piece of glass. He saw the Jabbawockeez approach his hiding spot, and he immediately got back in the spot so he wouldn't be seen. One of the boys quietly hopped on the wall and silently climbed on the wall to the ceiling.

When the footsteps stopped, the man looked out and saw that they were gone. He stood up and made sure it was clear to leave when he turned around to make sure there was nothing behind him, the Jabbawockee had climbed on the wall, then jumped down and stood behind him, and startled the man as he stumbled back. The other boys grabbed his arms tightly preventing him from escaping.

"Let me go at once!" He yelled as the boys shook their heads and carried him back to where Raven and Phi were. Phi was still sleeping, getting his rest so his energy can regain itself. Raven still held him, making sure he was comfortable while he slept. Raven turned her head towards the door as the boys walked in holding the man who was struggling to get free from their grasp. Raven then placed Phi against the wall and walked over to the man who stopped struggling to get free. "Not so powerful now huh?" She hissed as the man growled. "Don't test me little girl! This city belongs to me!" He yelled as Raven growled under her breath. "How about we settle this..just you and me. A fight for the city, you win, I will leave and you get your city back. If I win, I get the city and you and your little friends can leave and never come back!" He said as Raven narrowed her eyes.

"I accept. Let him go boys, it's between me and him now.." she said as the boys let go of the man. "Shall we begin? I'll be kind enough to let the lady go first." He smirked. Raven huffed and looked over at the Jabbawockeez. "In the end as we fade into the night.." she sang and their masks faded away to reveal their faces which had worried expressions on them.

Raven nodded once and looked back at the man. "What a gentleman.." she huffed sarcastically and charged at the man and made an attempt to kick him but he dodged. "Not bad for a little girl!" He laughed as he attempted to punch Raven but she caught his fist causing him to widen his eyes. "I'm not little!" She yelled as she twisted his arm behind his back and pushed it into his back causing him to scream in pain then he hissed and turned around and grabbed her by her jacket tgen swung her throwing Raven into a nearby pillar. Raven screamed in pain as she hit her head a bit, and the boys were about to help her until she held up her hand telling them to stop. Upon hearing Raven scream in pain, Phi slowly woke up from his slumber to see Raven and the man fight.

The boys noticed that Phi was awake and they rushed to him and protected him in case he got hurt again. Raven got up and ran at the man again, this time punching him directly in the face causing damage.

The man stumbled back from the impact and felt blood trickle down his nose onto the floor. His eyes narrowed as Raven found a crowbar  to use as a weapon. The man charged at her and tripped her and attempted to punch her but she dodged everytime he tried to hit her. Raven swung the crowbar hitting him hard on the leg causing him to fall. When she saw the opportunity to strike, Raven immediately stood up and kicked him while he was down. The man took the blow and coughed up blood as he was kicked. The man then growled and grabbed Ravens leg and dragged her to the ground causing her to drop the crowbar as she fell. While she was down the man got up and grabbed the bar and walked over to Raven. Raven got up slowly, but when she stood up, her eyes widened and she coughed up blood. The boys went wide eyed seeing what had happened. "RAVEN!" They all yelled as they saw that the man had stabbed her in the back with the crowbar.

The man pulled the bar out and Raven stumbled and she turned around only to be kicked down to the ground on her elbows staring up in horror as the man stood over her.

"Any last words?" He asked coldly, a smirk playing on his lips. Before she could do anything something flew from behind her at the man hitting him in the chest causing him to stumble back. Ravens eyes widened and she whipped her head around to see who threw a piece of concrete at him. "P-Phi?.." she said weakly as she watched Phi slowly walk towards the man, his eyes narrowed showing anger and hatred. "Don't. Hurt. Her." Phi muttered as the rest of the boys stood with him. "No one hurts Raven and gets away with it!" Joe yelled as Phil growled. "Whoever hurts her is gonna pay!" He yelled as Kevin and Chris nodded in agreement. "And don't expect for us to be easy on you.." Rynan hissed as Ben nodded as he glared. The man laughed as he stood up. "I already won. So what's the point?" He laughed as the boys got angrier by the second. Raven watched as the boys confronted him, as she laid on her elbows, her back bleeding and in searing pain.

"You're forgetting one thing.." she muttered as the man snapped his head in her direction. "And what might that be." He hissed as Raven gave a weak smirk.

"You didn't say they couldn't help me.." she said as the boys got ready to attack. The man's eyes widen when she said that, and he looked at the boys backing up with fear in his eyes. "Jabbawockeez! Finish him!" Raven yelled as she winced in pain when she sat up weakly. The white liquid like substance cover their faces and created their masks, and they took slow steps forward towards the man. Phi stayed behind to protect Raven from any further harm. The man backed up in fear, knowing what was coming. "L-let's not get hasty, we can work it out right?.." he stuttered as the boys closed in on him and the sound of painful screaming can be heard from the far side of the destroyed building.

Raven held her back in pain and she looked up at Phi who was standing in front of her, making sure nothing would hurt her. "P-Phi?.." she asked and the Jabbawockee turned around to face her when he heard his name being called.

Phi walked over and knelt next to her and looked at her and tilted his head as if he was responding to her. Raven gave a weak smile then turned her head to look at the boys who walked back from the fight they had with the man who was now laying on the ground unmoving. "In the end as we fade into the night." Raven sang and the substance faded away from the boys' faces. They all rushed to Ravens side to help her. "Raven are you alright?!" Phil asked in concern looking at her wound on her back. "I'm fine..it just stings.." Raven replied as Phi helped her stand up and helped her maintain her balance. "We did it. We got the city back!" Chris cheered as the other boys smiled and threw their fists in the air and cheered. "We couldn't have done it without our captain!" Joe cheered as the boys all nodded and hugged Raven gently, careful not to hurt her. "And I couldn't have done it without you boys." She said with a giggle. The boys then let go, and Raven held onto Phi since her back was hurting. "Let's head back to the lab. It's been a long day." Kevin yawned as the others agreed to his statement.

"Alright then. Back to the lab!" Raven called as the boys nodded. Phi knelt down so Raven can hop on his back and he can carry her back to the lab on the far side of the city.

Raven jumped on Phi's back and held onto his shoulders as he started running with the rest of the boys. They all jumped out of the opening in the wall, and ran through the streets of the empty and abandoned city. After a while of running, they finally made it back to the lab, and they walked in the main room and Phi set Raven down on the couch that was against the wall. "Thank you Phi." Raven said as Phi nodded. "Anytime." He smiled and went to join the others. Once everyone had settled down, Phi cleaned the wound on Ravens back while the others went to sleep. "Thanks for taking care of me when I was injured Raven. I really appreciate it." Phi said as Raven smiled. "It's not a problem Phi. I care about you just as much as I care for the rest of the boys. Your like my family." She said as Phi smiled as he placed a bandage on her wound. Raven gave him a hug and he gladly returned it. "You should get some sleep. You fought well today. You all did and deserve a good rest." She said as Phi nodded. "Alright I will. You get some rest too. And take it easy." Phi said as Raven nodded. "I will. Night Phi." She said as Phi waved. "Night Raven we'll see you in the morning!" He whispered and found a spot on the ground next to the rest of the boys and drifted off to sleep.

Raven smiled and laid down gently on the couch, being careful not to hurt her back. She looked over at the boys and smiled as she saw that they were all asleep.

"Love you boys. Sweet dreams." She said to herself as she closed her eyes letting sleep take over her. All the fighting and searching was exhausting. As they all slept, the moon rose high above the destroyed buildings, engulfing the city in its beautiful bright rays of light.
