Ryan POV

"Hey..."

"How'd you find me Bryce?" I sighed, hoping to NOT be found.

"I know you too well, Ryan, you're my best friend, Remember?" I smiled lightly at the title he gave us, looking at him.

"How's Annetta?"

"Asleep, Evan saw her. Jon dealt with her, she's come to a comfort of liking Jon"

"He's an easy guy to get along with, just don't piss him off."

"Noted"

I let out a sigh. "What am I doing with my life, Bryce?"

"What do you mean?"

"She's my mate... but I don't feel anything. It's like force marriage to me."

"It's the bite, Ryan. Don't let it affect you. You gotta get to know her first Ry."

"I suppose,"

"C'mon, I'll race you back,"

When he shifted, I always admired his rare coloured purple wolf. He had such a baby face.

"You're on." I shifted into my grey wolf racing Bryce back.

Jonathan POV

"Hey," I smiled. Luke was watching TV when I walked in. "How is she?"

"She's good, out like a light, I'll say." he chuckled at that.

I took my spot on the bed, laying beside him. He wrapped his arms around me as I slowly looked into his baby brown orbs and started tracing the scar over his eye.

He saved my life, and because he did, he got that scar, I still regret it from this day, but he always jokes about how it makes him look like a badass. No one judges it, I mean, we all have scares.

We're wolves, we fight. It's not rocket science to pinpoint the injury. To be honest, they respect it, the courage and sacrifice we do for them.

"You know I love you,"

"What have you done?"

"What? Nothing! Can't I say that?" I grinned. He giggled at that. "Sorry..." I lightly kissed him on the cheek.

Ryan POV

"I'll leave you to it." He patted me on the back, heading off to bed as I stood in the doorway of Annetta room. She looked so peaceful whilst sleeping.

'Is there any way to get rid of that disgusting bite?' My wolf spat.

'I don't know...'

I walked closer to her, just taking in her beauty. Slowly brushing her dark brown hair away from her face.

"Hmm," her eyes slowly opened, her piercing emerald eyes looking into my hazel orbs.

"Alpha?" She mumbled.

"Call me Ryan." I sat down beside her.

"I'm so sorry for lying,"

"Hey, you don't need to apologise. I know why you did it. You were scared. You don't need to be scared anymore. Ok?"

She nodded to that. I was about to get up when she grabbed my hand. "Please stay with me..." she pleaded.

She was still petrified for her life... "Alright," I lay down beside her, She slowly leaned over, resting her head on my chest as I wrapped my arm around her. I lightly gave her a kiss on the forehead, which made her smile as she closed her eyes.

This felt so right but so wrong at the same time, and I don't know why...
