Chapter 2 - Mate...

Annetta POV

"Are you ready yet?" Lee screamed from downstairs.

I was staring down at my reflection of my flat stomach, staring into my dull, colourless eyes and the obvious bags of greyness too. Every step I made made me feel dizzy and sick to my stomach.

"ANNIE!" He roared.

I quickly made my way downstairs.

"Gosh, you're not impressing anybody. What took you so long?"

"I just don't feel well..."

"Too bad," he opened the door. "Move!" I obeyed, walking with him following behind.

When he grabbed my hand, I jumped a little, which amused him.

Personally, I haven't seen the Alpha around and when I do. He doesn't even acknowledge me.

Maybe because I've been forced marked, I'm scentless to all males, including my mate.

The only way I will find my mate is through the sparks of a touch through the mate bond.

We finally made it seeing everyone here.

"Lee!" His friends called him over. "Have fun." he pulled me closer with his lips hovering over my ear. "And if I see you with any other male or you say anything. You're gonna wish you were dead," I gulped at that. He planted a kiss on my cheek. "See you later, babe," he left me to it, which I was by thankful but also scared.

Right... Annetta, get yourself a drink before you pass out!

Ryan POV

"It's amazing, isn't it?" Bryce said as we just scanned the crowd. "It is everyone happy, getting along. It's just what we need. "

We caught Jon and Luke making out behind a tree, making Bryce and I laugh.

"Oh, I'm gonna get a drink. I'll be right back," I giggled.

After excusing myself for making my way over to the drinks. I swear I heard someone call me but it must of been my imagination as I turned back around, I accidentally bumped into someone catching them by their forearms but as I did, a shock of electricity shot through me feeling my eyes turn to my wolf eyes as so did hers.

"Mate..." we both chanted.

My wolf and I were confused about why we didn't sense her. I was cut off with my thoughts when she was swaying. "Ma'am, are you ok?"

"Y-Yeah. I'm f...ine..."

My eyes widened in surprise as she began to fall. I swiftly caught her, and she passed out in my arms.

"We need a doctor!" I ordered. Some people around us gasped as Bryce ran over. "What happened?"

"She's really warm, Bryce. I can feel her temperature hitting the roof. Why am I feeling like my heart has just been ripped out?" Bryce's eyes suddenly widen. "Ryan..." he cut off when Evan appeared.

"Annetta!" A man said, running over. "Alpha, what's wrong with my girlfriend?"

I felt my jaw clench. "She passed out, we're gonna take her to hospital for a checkup."

"I'm sure she's fine." "What's your name?" "Lee" "Well Lee, she's burning up, dehydrated. Has she been eating?"

"I'm usually at work, Alpha."

"Very well"

"Alpha, follow me." Lee started following.

"It's best you stay here right now."

"She's my girlfriend Alpha!" "Fine..."

Bryce was watching in suspicion between me and him.
