< Drunk in love - Beyoncé >
>> Aleksandr Pov <<
Veronika sung quietly to herself, a random combination of slurring and partial Beyoncé lyrics.
"Baby it's youuu-" She emphasised the 'you' as she began to tug off her clothes. "You're the one I want-" She continued to slur as she struggled to lift her shirt over her head. Her head got stuck in the neck hole and her arms were flailing about in the air. "Who turned out the lights?" She giggled to herself. I laughed quietly and then snapped back to reality.
I can't stare at her getting undressed.. that's creepy.
I forced my eyes away from her and when she managed to finally untangle herself from her shirt, she stood meekly by her bed, thankfully still in her underwear.
"What's wrong?" I questioned and she was knocked out of her trance. A little giggle rippled off her lips and she blew a raspberry.
"I don't know where my pyjamas are!" She almost shouted. I cringed at her sudden loudness and sighed, taking my shirt off and handing it to her. She clearly was messing around with me in her childish state but I let it slide. Clearly it's the alcohol talking.
Shaking my head to free my thoughts, I exited her room to give her some more privacy while changing. I pulled the door to leave it open only a crack, enough for me to hear if she calls me while I made my way down her pristine stairs.
Oblivious to the arrangement of her kitchen, I began to helplessly rummage around in the cupboards. My eyes lit up as I pulled out some pills from the drawers and I proceeded to make her a glass of water soon after I stumbled across the cupboard littered with mugs. I couldn't find any glasses, so that would have to do.
"Aleksandr?" A faint voice called my name. I scraped the supplies into my hands and cautiously flicked off the light, before once again ascending the stairs.
My foot gently pushed open her white door and I smiled at the sight of Ronnie snuggled up in her sheets. Her eyes were sealed shut but a small smile lingered onto her lips.
I set down the mug of water onto her bedside table, along with the two aspirin and spun on my heel. "Stay" Her delicate voice whispered in the silence. "пожалуйста?" (Please?)
I slowly turned back around, meeting with her chocolate eyes. They glistened like baubles from the hallway light that peered through the door that I had left open due to my full hands.
Ronnie's dark makeup was still smudged around her face and her blonde hair stuck up in a mess yet, I saw past that. She just looked so peaceful, vulnerable almost.
I contemplated her request. She was drunk, I couldn't just hop into her bed at her demand when her mind is fogged over by the drug.
"Please, Aleksandr?" She begged once again. Her petite, porcelain hand slipped out from under her patterned sheets and pulled back the side next to her. I let out a deep sigh and gave in, deciding to slip my shoes off and clamber into the warm sheets. Before so however, I made sure to close the door to envelope the room in darkness.
A large grin enraptured her rosy lips and I let out a quiet chuckle of content. "What about your Aunt?" I asked full of concern. She allowed a quick hum to escape her mouth before she looked into my eyes.
