I stare in silence as two sets of eyes stare right back at me.
Thankfully, after what seems like an eternity of akward staring, the tall blondie stands from the small bed.
"Hi, I'm Brooke." She motions to the olive skin toned model looking girl behind her,
"That's Isabella, but we call her Bella." Quickly snapping out of my slight trance I reply,
"Natania, but you can call me Tani."I have about a billion questions I want to ask, but I obviously need to be careful. I mean, I'm already being held hostage, I don't want to be dead too. Well, that's a little extreme... Maybe.
"Soo, Thomas huh? The new usually ones never get shown around, we're just expected to eat, train, and sleep until we're pick or assigned."
She seemed to be doing a strange mixture of talking to me and rambling to herself.
"Wait, what?"
The girls give each other a quick look before Brooke carries on.
"They haven't told you anything?"
"Well no, not really. The president lady just said she was glad to be working with me or something like that." There's a moment slight ackward silence until I continue with a question I've been dying to ask.
"Soo um why exactly am I here annnd when do I get to go home?"
The girls look at each other nervously like there's something that I'm missing. For real this place is freaking full of secrets.
"I'm sure Thomas will give you the scoop," she says popping the p. Okay, she totally just played that off as super casual, but I can see that she is clearly uncomfortable.
"Now, let's get you dolled up for your little date!" Brooke and Bella stood squealing excitedly, and rushed me out the door to, I hope, the showers.
I'm actually glad, in a way, that Thomas is showing me around later, I want to know whats going on, and what he meant when he talked about my memories.
I have so many unanswered questions, but I also have a feeling that asking could be dangerous.
XXXX
Thomas and I walk side by side in silence. Silence, there's way too much of it here. At least towards me. I mean I guess everyone else generally knows what's going on so, yeah, I don't really know. I want to find Daniel and leave, I don't like it here one bit. There's something really off, and no one seems to be answering my questions.
Ahead of us, I see a head of messy brown hair turn the corner. Shit. I clench and unclench my hands, and apparently Thomas notices because I can see him glance over at me. I force myself to regain my composure and stop with the whole hand clenching thing.
"Tani!" I look up to see Daniel running toward me. Shitshitshitshitshit. He envelops me in a hug and I stand there not moving. They can't know. Thomas said not to let anyone know I had my memories.
Daniel pulls back and gives me a look that breaks my heart. He looks hurt. Thomas stands to the side staring at the both of us.
"Tani, we gotta go," he nervously steels a glance at Thomas who seems to be listening intently, but not making any move to stop him.
"We only have a couple minutes until my guard catches up with me," he grabs my hand trying desprately to pull me in the opposite direction.
"Tani, please." We hear footsteps running in our direction getting closer and closer. Daniel releases my hand and doesn't move. He sits, he sits and he stares at me with a look in his eyes that I pray I never have to see again. I hurt him. I hurt my brother and my best friend.
Suddenly, Daniel reaches out and pulls my ear towards his lips.
"I know you have your memories, come with me. Tani this place is bad, Tani please."
He steps back and waits for my response. I sit there staring at him in silence.
His guard finally rounds the corner and grabs onto his arm. Daniel does nothing to resist. I fight the urge to cry. I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry.
Wait, the guard pulls out a gun. He raises it to Daniel's head. He's gonna shoot him. No. No.
"No!" They all turn their attention to me, the guard momentarily lowering the gun.
"We don't deal with rebellious fuckers, little girl. We kill'em. You either follow orders'n live or you don't, your choice. I'm pretty sure he made his."
He raises the gun back up to Daniel's head. My eyes begin to fill with tears.
"Stop, lower the gun," this time, we all turn our attention toward Thomas.
The guard obeys Thomas' command, lowers his gun, and shoots.

Aaagghhh! Daniel! I was so excited to bring him back in this chapter and then this happens? Don't hate me!!
This entire place is extremely cryptic and I think we're getting closer to some actual answers!
Unirtunately I will not be updating for a couple weeks. As soon as summer vacation starts I will update regularly.
Let me know what you guys think!!
