"You're gonna freaking walk there? It's like 5 miles, from here."He said, as he followed her. "Yes!" she said, as she whirled around."I don't have a car. Plus, I don't have a license."She said, as she began to walk again. He grabbed her arm."Ow. That hurt."She said, as she stopped."Right...um sorry about that. Here let me take you to the hospital."He said. "No, thanks. I'm good." She said, she winced as a contraction came. She breathed thought it. She reached out and grabbed his arm. Joe was shocked, his heart raced as he feel her soft hand on his arm. He felt, her hand squeeze his arm. She bent down in pain. Moments later, the contraction passed. She stood up straight. "Um, sorry about that."She said. He nodded his head. She was gonna bent down, to get her bag. "No, I got it." He said. "Demi just get in the damn car. Quit being so stubborn." He said.

She shook her head no. He sighed, as he rolled his eyes. Then he looked her in the eyes. "Demi look, I know that I'm probably the last person that you ever expected to stop. I'm most likely the last person that you want to help you now. But, I know that you are all alone. You have no family, and it's obvious that Mr. I can hit a woman. Will not help you, because he's just a jackass. I know, that I didn't treat you right in high school. For that I'm truly, truly sorry. I was just young and stupid. I just wanted to fit in. Plus, I thought that I was in love with Ashley, and love sometimes makes you do stupid things. I regret what I did to you everyday. I know this not the time and the place, but I really do mean it. What can I do, to make you believe me. I'm sorry, please forgive me. I'm not that guy, any more. I've grown up a lot. Just let me help, if not for me than for your baby."He said, tears came to his eyes.

Demi took a breath in as she bit her lip. She looked him in the eyes. She saw that he was truly sorry. All, she saw in eyes was regret, pain and sorrow. His eyes told her that he was genuinely sorry. That he meant every thing that he said. Every Time Wimer said sorry. She could tell that he really wasn't sorry. She only stayed with Wilmer, cause she was scared to be alone. She felt needed with him, then she saw that he wouldn't change. She saw that Joe had changed. She nodded her head yes. She saw Joe sigh in relief, he let out a breath that he was holding. He bent down and picked up her bag. "I, forgive you Joe. Everyone deserves a second chance. Well, except him. I've given, him one too many chances. He is the only one that won't get another chance." She said, he looked at her wide eyes and shock on his face. He smiled at her.

"Thanks, now let's go. We will talk later. After this baby comes. Here take my arm." He said, as she raised an eyebrow at him."Joe, that really is not necessary. I can walk, I'm just pregnant."She said, as he now raised an eyebrow at her. She let out a sigh. "Please, just humor me, okay Dem." He said, as shook her head. But she took his arm. "Well, look at you. I haven't seen you in like 3 years and you are already calling me names again." She said, with a giggle. He looked at her and smile. He walked her to the passengers side. He opened the door and helped her in. He handed her the buckle. Then he shut the door, he walked around the back of the car and opened the back. He put her bag in the back, then he got in the driver's side.

10 minutes later

Joe just parked the car. Demi, was quite as he drove. She just looked out the window, and held her stomach. He was about to get out, he looked over at her. She had her head down. He heard her sniff. He reached over and touch, her arm. She looked up at him, she had tears in her eyes. "What's the matter Dem?" He said, as she gave him a little smile. "I'm.... well I'm scared. I thought that I could do this, but now I'm not so sure." She said, as she rubbed her stomach. Joe, lifted up her face so that she looked at him. He wiped her tears with his hands. Then in most gentle voice, he spoke. "Dem, you can do it. Look what you just did just a while ago. You left that no good for nothing low life. You are a strong person. I know this, just by watching you in high school. No matter what we did to you, you just kept your head held high. You are the strongest woman, I've ever seen. No matter what we did to you, you didn't let us break you. You didn't cry, I mean at least in front of us. I believe in you Dem."He said.
