"Yes, yes, she's still asleep."
"Can I please see her?"
"Are you sure you want to? She went a little bit crazy last night."
"It's okay, she's my friend."
"Alright you can go in."
"Wait, um....do you think she'll be okay?"
"Maybe. She was talking about these black creatures. 6 feet. Birdlike, but also humanlike."
"Hmm....I'll see what I can do."

Quinn lay in bed wondering who had the conversation with the white-coat lady. She felt stuffy in the tiny room, with just a bed and two chairs. How boring. I can't wait to get out of here. She stared at the cream walls and started wondering about what sorts of people were in this room before her. A totally sane person? Who was falsely accused? Or maybe a complete psycho who saw things in the middle of the day. Quinn laughed to herself. Probably someone like me, someone who has no idea what's going on.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a short cough. Quinn sat bolt upright, and shot her eyes to the door. "Can I come in?" Quinn raised her eyebrows. Out of all the people in the world, Courtney was the last person she expected to see.

"Are you lost?' Quinn said, swinging her legs over the side of her bed.
"Uh, no, I am not," Courtney said firmly.
"Oooo-kay then....what do you want?"
"Tell me what you saw."
"Why does everyone keep saying that? I am not some crazy delusional person!" Quinn waved her arms about, like a crazy delusional person.
'Tell me what you saw," Courtney repeated, in the same monotonous voice, her blue eyes staring at Quinns green ones. Quinn stared back hoping to intimidate her, but only failing once she saw Courtney's seriousness. Exasperatedly, Quinn threw her hands in the air. "Ok, fine, you win! I'll tell you!"

".....and then they all disappeared as if nothing was really there," Quinn finished. Surprisingly, it was the first time she had told someone her story without crying. She had never thought it would be to Courtney. "So what are you going to do? Tell everyone how crazy I am? Tell the psychiatrist they need to keep me in longer? Post it on Instagram? Have you been recording me? Or maybe youre going to-" "Actually, I'm going to get you out of here," Courtney said standing up and walking towards the door. "How are you gonna do that Miss Perfect?" Quinn called out after her.

Before she knew it, she was being whisked away by Courtney. "But..but how??" Quinn stuttered as Courtney dragged her into the car. Courtney shut the door, climbed into the drivers seat and turned on the engine. "You know how to drive?!?! You're only 17!! Are you sure this is safe??" Courtney looked over her shoulder as she began to reverse the car, "I know how to drive, now put on your seat belt." Quinn opened her mouth then closed it again. There was no point arguing.

Millions of questions filled Quinns head. She bit them back, struggling not to let any of them escape. She had to stay calm. Courtney can't be kidnapping me.....could she? Quinn shot a quick sideways glance at Courtney, whose eyes were staring dead straight at the road. She obviously wasnt going to talk.

They pulled up to a dark house, big but unpleasant looking. "You're not taking me in there are you?" Quinn said, gulping.
"Of course I am!" Those were the only words she had spoken since they had started driving. Although Quinn hated the silence, it wasn't the most pleasant way to start a conversation. "Where are you taking me? Who is in there?" Quinn said, taking a step away from Courtney. Courtney smiled and grabbed Quinns arm, resuming her silent game.

"Come on Courtney! What are you going to do to me in there?"
"WE, are going to tell you what you saw."
"You must be joking! I didn't SEE anything remember!" Quinn said, forcing a laugh.
"Yes, you did Quinn. You saw the creatures," Courtney insisted.
"Oh yeah? What creatures did I see?" Quinn retorted.
"You saw the Kratchers...."
