As I woke up I grunted in pain, my body felt like it had been through a giant meat crusher. I looked over and Hurimu was sitting on a bed bandaged up and looking at me. "morning sunshine" he smirked as he coughed a bit and sat there. I struggled before finally sitting up and looking at him. "y-you ok?" I felt the bandages around me as he nodded. "shiro I've been through a lot worse beatings, though that fight is up there...how bout you? you have been sleeping for days...she's been worried...we all have.." He looked at me seriously as I slowly nodded "yeah, just glad I didn't hurt ya too bad...where is Kiumi though?" I looked around as he slowly got up and walked to the door. "she will be here in a minute, just...rest a little more, and Shiro?" he stood at the door as I looked over at him "yeah?", he smirked and walked out. "stop making her worry, she needs to smile more, not cry by your side." I looked at him and smirked slightly blushing before I laid back looking at the ceiling.
After about what felt like an hour I heard the door open and I sat up, Kiumi was walking in her head low not noticing I was up at first. She sighed as she started to walk towards my bed, she stopped as she noticed I was sitting up and bolted towards me latching her arms around my neck hugging me close, some tears in her eyes. "Shiro!, I-I was so worried..." she buried her face into my chest and I blushed darkly slowly wrapping my arms around her body moving my hand up and down her back speaking softly. "shh...It's okay Kiumi, I'm not going anywhere, I..I'm sorry for making you worry so much..Hurimu told me..." she lifted her head shaking it back and forth before puffing out her cheeks looking at me a light pinkish red blush on her cheeks. "I wasn't just worried...I get worried about friends and people...I was scared, and didn't want you to die...I barley know everything about you and I was already scared to loose you, that you would leave me all alone here.." I sighed and blushed darker as I looked at her taking a deep breathe before pulling her close surprising her as I kissed her. "I'm sorry.." Kiumi gasped as I pulled her close and blushed dark red before closing her eyes and kissing back, both of our hearts racing as we stopped and leaned our foreheads on each others. "S-Shiro...? Please be careful from now on, I can't afford to loose you now.." Kiumi was looking at the ground before she lifted her head and looked in my eyes. "O-of course, I won't hurt you any way I promise to make it safely back to you any time I leave.." she smiled and hugged me close before letting go and standing up. "come on, Let's go show everyone that you are back on your feet, and get you some food since you have been sleeping for so long." I nodded before standing up putting my shirt and jacket back on, "ok", Kiumi taking my hand into hers as she dragged me through the halls smiling to the cafeteria. As we opened the door to the cafeteria the whole place got silent, I didn't know how to react until the whole place started to cheer and joke around. "welcome back to the world of the living. " people shouted and smiled talking bout they couldn't believe that I had stood up to the boss and ended in a draw. Me and Kiumi sat a table with food and smiled as Hurimu walked over sitting down across from us. "so Shiro, Kiumi, feeling better? and ready? Because tomorrow is the day, we found out the place where the military is set up for a base, it is time to act and we need you Shiro." Kiumi frowned and I sighed before shaking my head, " I think we should wait, scout the place, cause I am not fully recovered and I need some more training.." I looked at Hurimu for a minute before he sighed and nodded, "all right, you win, we will wait a bit, but you will be training started later until we leave.." He stood up and left and Kiumi hugged me, " Thank you Shiro, it means a lot to me for this. " I smiled and looked at her, " Well I mean I can't just recover and fight, but at least it will only be training that I am doing, I can only hold him off of this for so long though, so it will probably be about a week before we leave for that fight..." she nodded and we got up after eating and went back to the hallway before I was being called to train. "guess it's time.." Kiumi sighed and kissed my cheek and hugged me before walking away. "just please be careful this time.." I smiled and walked away to the training grounds, "always am" I sighed before stepping outside my sword and gun being handed to me and I put them on my back and hip before walking over to a practice dummy. " alright... let's get training" I took a deep breathe before taking my sword into my hands and started slashing and cutting at the dummy, lightning flashing into the air, the dummy getting burnt and cut open before my red eyes let go of being calm and my wolf like teeth showed as I lunged at the dummy jumping over it and hanging my sword low as it sliced through the fabric and wood sending the head flying off over to the table of weapons, and I started to calm down before putting the sword on my back and walking to the gun range, he wanted me to train, but I knew...we would be leaving tomorrow because he could tell I didn't need to rest anymore.
