Chapter 12

Blake's pov

I woke up to the sun in my face. I groaned and sat up in bed. What happened last night? My eyes widened and I quickly checked the other side of the bed. I sighed when I realized there was no one there. That's when I remembered I was on the phone with Yang all night.

Why was I on the phone with Yang all night? I thought for a second before dropping the subject and getting up. I looked out my window to see Sun, Ruby, and Neptune leaving the house. I quirked a brow and quickly changed my clothes and ran out the door.

"Oh hey you" Neptune said with a smile. Ruby turned around and smiled up at me. "Hey Blake, what are you doing here?" she asked as we walked down the driveway. I shrugged. "I just saw you guys and thought I'd join in on whatever you have planned" I said as Ruby led the way.

"Well sure! We're just going to the store to go buy some food. Dad gave me some money so I could-" she stopped mid sentence and squinted her eyes. I turned and heard someone gasp.

Ruby's pov

I was stopped mid sentence when I saw her. Her hair half brown half pink along with her eyes. She was wearing black pants and a white shirt with a white jacket over it. I gasped and she smirked.

I looked at Sun and saw he was clenching his jaw. Neptune put a hand on his shoulder and walked him the other direction. Blake looked back at me with a confused face. I smiled and walked past her.

"What do you want, Neo?"

Yang's pov

I put my shoes on and sat on the bed. I looked over at my phone when I heard it buzz. I picked it up and read the message.

Monkeyboy: Code 743

I thought for a second then realized what he was talking about. I ran out the door and looked for the closest exit to these woods. Agh shit! I took off running to a random direction and continued.

It took a couple of minutes before I finally exited the woods and ran to the nearest neighborhood so I knew where I was.

I slowly came to a stop when I saw three figures. Two were in the street while the other was on the sidewalk. I walked closer and saw who it was.

Ruby was talking to Neo while Blake stood and watched. I walked straight up to where Ruby and Neo where and put a hand on Ruby's shoulder. She looked at me and stepped back.

I turned towards Neo and watched as her smirk fell. "What are you doing here?" I said taking a step towards her. She stood her ground and smirked. She put her arm up and a holographic screen popped up.

"Can't I visit my girlfriend again?" I shook my head as my anger grew. "I told you we're through! Why don't you go back to Roman, you seemed happy with him!" I yelled as I clenched my hands.

Her smirk grew and more words popped up on the screen. "But I don't Roman right now, I want my firework" I growled and closed my eyes. "Fuck. Off. I'm already in a relationship and I don't need you to ruin it!" I said low enough for only her ears to hear. "Oh and who might this new 'girlfriend' be?" she asked as I saw hurt in her eyes.

What do I say now?! I sighed and opened my eyes. "Her name is Blake. She means a lot to me and if you fuck up my relationship..." I leaned down and whispered in her ear. "...I'll make sure to kill Roman and make sure you suffer" I leaned back and saw her eyes change to a grayish color. She nodded and disappeared.

I took a deep breathe before turning to face both Ruby and Blake. I slowly turned and saw that they were talking to Neptune. "Where were you?!" Sun asked while pushing me a bit.
