Chapter 20

Ruby's pov

"-now back to the breaking news! Locals have caught sight of, what seems to be, the person behind capturing all these bad guys. Police say the person has blonde hair and-"

I turned off the tv as I grew angrier and angrier every second. It's been three years since Yang has left and there's no sign on where she could be.

After Yang walked out of the food place, we went searching for her. We went to Junior's bar first but once he said that she left from there, we began searching everywhere.

About seven months after her disappearance, this crazy person has been on the loose. Reporters say that the person is stopping bad guys but is also harming them.

"Hey Ruby" I turn my head and see Wiess. I smiled and waved. "Hey" I said with a sigh. "What's wrong?" she said sternly. I sighed again before turning to face her. "I just- the news says they think the person has blonde hair"

Her stare turned into a soft one and she brought her arms around me. "It'll be okay Ruby. We'll find her soon"

Yang's pov

"Come on Carlos! All you have to do is tell me why you were hurting that kid and I'll let you go!" I said as I watched him crawl on the ground from the beating I gave him.

He coughed then spitted out some blood. "Never!! I'd rather die than to tell you my business!" I smirked and took out some duck tape. "If you don't like to talk *rips tape off* I'll just have to make you more quiet"

His yells were silenced by the tape and his squirming stopped when I taped his body. "Now, I'm not trying to be like Spider-Man or something, but my senses tell me someone is behind me and-"

I slightly moved to the left and dodged the bullet that was coming. In one fast motion, I turned around and pinned whoever shot at me to the wall. I slowly opened my eyes and was met with amber ones.

I smirked under my bandanna as I recognized the person. We've ccome face to face a couple of times after I left but this time, we're way to close.

"Well hello again" I said as I made her drop her gun. "Let me go!!" She yelled. Over the three years I've been gone, I've learned how to make different voices. And to say that I sound like Torchwick on drugs is an understatement right now.

"No can do sweet heart. You see I know you, you know me. The more we meet the more you make me sick to my fucking stomach" I said then released her. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have business to take care of" I said as I walked back to Carlos.

"Hold still bud" in one quick motion, I made a little hole so he can talk. "Now tell me, what were you doing to Jake?"

"I told you I'm not telling you!!" I groaned and rolled my eyes. "Fine, when you wake up make sure to tell Alex that I'm finding more people than I should" and with that, I injected him with a liquid that knocks you out.

I stood and dusted off my jacket. "You know, you guys could've found me when you had the chance" I said as I cleaned of the syringe. "I don't even know you!! You don't even know me!!" She yelled and I laughed bitterly.

"Oh feisty aren't we? Ya know, we wouldn't be here if you just went with me and not Sun" I said giving her the biggest clue I've ever given her. Her eyes widened and she held up her gun.

"Why did you leave Yang!!? Do you know how much we went through without knowing where you were!?-"

"Oh shut it kit cat! It's not like you cared anyways. You're always sucking faces with mon-" I grabbed an arm from behind me, twisted it, then threw the person over me.

I looked on the ground and saw it was none other than Sun. "Oh look Blake! Your pet followed you" I said as I stepped over him and walked towards the exit of the alley we were in.

"Well, Xiao Long, nice to see you too"

"Like wise!!" I said flipping him off.

I stopped when I saw a shadow and then Blake standing in front of me with her gun to my head. I raised my eye brows then smirked.

"As much as I would like to stay, I believe I'm an hour late from my next mission" I said as she tightened her grip on the gun. My smirk grew as I made a plan.

"Are you gonna shoot?" she dropped the gun a little before lifting it up with a hard face. I rolled my eyes. "Fine" I quickly grabbed her gun from her hand and inspected it.

"See, you pull this back" I cocked the gun. "Then you put your finger on the trigger and point it at something" I said as I pointed it to the side of my head. "Once you're at this stage, you pull the trigger and-"

I pulled the trigger and nothing happened. Blake slowly opened her eyes and I smirked. Seconds before I pulled the trigger, I took out the bullets.

"- you live" I finished as I handed back her gun. I walked around her and made a portal. "If you want to know where I'm going, follow the yellow arrows" I said before walking into the portal.

I learned how to do different things with my aura and semblance when I was gone. I can make portals and arrows with my semblance and I have super senses from my aura.

I smiled as I saw Jake. "Hey there" I said and he jumped. "Well, sorry for taking a long time knocking out Carlos but I ran into people" I said walking towards him.

He nodded and I smirked. "But I'm not done" he looked up at me with scared eyes. "You see, I only have half of the story. Now I need the full story" I said. Then I heard police sirens.

"Better hurry before they come down here"

"Alright! Alright!! I was trying to sell weed! And he came and started beating on me" he said as tears streamed down his face. I smirked.

"Well Jake, I'm sorry to tell you this but I'm gonna have to take you out" more years streamed down his face but it quickly stopped when I injected my knock out liquid into him.

I heard the sirens then saw the lights. I slowly stood as the car stopped a couple of feet away from me. "Hey!! Put your hands where I can see them!! You're under arrest for all the crimes you did!!"

"Crimes? I did half your job and you repay me by arresting me?" I asked looking at the cop. He aimed his gun at me and I smirked. "Nice to see you Alex!! Ya know, I never thought we would meet like this. Anyways, the next clue for you is Long. I gave you the other letters, now put it together"

I made a portal at my feet and fell. I sighed as I landed on my couch. I heard a noise and smiled. "Hey Bear! I had some fun tonight! Ran into the ex again and her pet" I said picking up my black cat.

He meowed and I layed back. "I'll take one in the morning! I'm too tired so good night" I said as I closed my eyes.
