Love at first note

Whatever happens in the music theory room stays in the music theory room.

Eliza's POV.

Gosh, darn it! I left my binder in the music theory room. I better go get it. I turned around and rushed back to the room hoping that the door was unlocked.

When I got to the door I jiggled the door knob and luckily, the door opened. The lights were off but I knew where my binder was, so I walked in. Slowly walking around, I stumbled upon my binder and grabbed it.

All of a sudden the lights flicked on.

I spun around and I saw Luke standing there

" You know they invented lights so you don't have to be in the dark," he said smirking

I felt the blood rushing to my ears, Oh god he can't see me blushing, so I spun around looking at the white board.

*Click* went the door as it closed. My heart started pounding .

" Eliza?"

"Yes," I said turning around to face him.

Walking forward he said ,"You play beautifully."

"Th...thanks," I said stuttering and I felt the blood rushing to my ears. Trying to cover them up, I moved my hair over my ears.

"Don't be embarrassed. I think it's cute how your ears turn red," he said brushing the strands behind my ears. Biting his bottom lip, he looked from my eyes, then to my lips, and the back to my eyes again. 

My heart was pounding a million beats a second. I grabbed my binder and tried to walk to the other door ,but I accidently tripped over a chair and fell face forward. " Are you Okay?" he asked as he rushed over and picked me up. " Ye...yes ...Aaaa I'm so clumsy," I said. After I got up he brushed off my shoulder and left his hand on it. I looked up and met his gaze He was staring deep into my eyes and he started to walk closer. 

Suddenly, the door handle moved and we heard someone putting a key in it and trying to unlock it.

" Quick into the closet," Luke whispered as he grabbed my hand and pulled me into the closet. As soon as the closet door closed, the outside door swung open and inside came in two people.

THE TWO PEOPLE ARE MR.SMITH AND EJ, THEY WERE MAKING OUT WHILE COMING INTO THE ROOM!

I looked at Luke and gave him a grimace, it's a good thing it's our lunch break right now or else we'd be in deep shit for being late to marching basics.
Mr.Smith and EJ locked the door and started making out again, Mr.Smith picked up Ej and slammed her against a table. He pushed himself on her and started touching her. 

I looked away out of embarrassment.
Luke turned to me and whispered, " I knew this was a good place to bring the ladies."

Suddenly someone knocked on the theory room door, Mr.Smith and EJ separated and fixed themselves so they looked presentable. Mr.Smith opened the door to Mr. Gene who looked distressed, " Mr.Smith come quickly someone vandalized the band hall!" Mr.Smith, EJ, and Mr. Gene left quickly.

Luke and I stepped out of the closet, " I suppose I should get going", I said quietly. " See you later." I left the room shaking, not only was about to get my first kiss by my crush, I saw my band director "getting at it" with a band helper. I walk to the cafeteria so I can tell my best friends what I just experienced.

"You saw Mr.Smith and EJ doing it in the theory room, while you and Luke hid in a closet, correct?" Said Rebecca. " That's nasty girl, oooohhh your eyes must hurt after seeing the things that turn Mr.Smith on", said Juliet. " Yeah it was pretty gross, but I haven't told you the best part yet", I said. "Luke got really close to me and I think he was about to kiss me!"
I looked at my friend's faces and laughed, they knew I like him, but didn't think anything would ever happen except- " I knew it would happen, I knew it", yelled Jess. She was the only one who believed anything would happen between us.

"Don't you have sectionals next with Luke?", asked Jess. "Yeah, and this is his day to teach me region music." Suddenly the head drum major ran in and told us it was time for sectionals. I better hurry. I wave goodbye to my friends as I hurry down the hall to band class, quite nervously I must say.

As soon as I get to the band hall I get my saxophone out, along with my music. I set up a stand and get my music ready, while I wait on Luke. I start playing some music  when I feel a hand on my shoulder, it sends an electric jolt through me. I look up and see Luke. "Hey, Eliza we are going to go do our private lessons in the practice room, okay ?" Said Luke. I nodded and gather my stuff, then headed for the practice room. I was kind of nervous think about what almost happened earlier in the theory room. Maybe Luke would try and kiss me again, I could feel butterflies in my stomach as I walked into the practice room.
