You don't own me
I'm not just one of your many toys...Blue eyes met the dark ones of the Hunter's. The savage boy looked almost completely unrecognizable with the white and red face paint that covered his now tanned and sunburnt skin and the freckles that decorated it. If it weren't for the auburn hair, Ralph wouldn't have recognized him as Jack Merridew.
Jack stared down at him and ran his index finger down his lower lip, pulling it down slightly. "You ought to become a Hunter, Ralph..." He whispered, the voice sending chills down the fair boy's spine. His lower lip popped back up as Jack now cupped his chin between his fingers. "Simon's gone...Piggy's gone...Samneric and the littluns are with me, now...All we need is you..."
Ralph licked his dry lips, staring into Jack's eyes with slight fear. Jack wasn't the same boy from before. "You killed them...They would have lived..."
"Ah-ah, no...Roger killed them."
"But you let him."
"Their fault for not joining us sooner. And if you don't join, well, you might just end up like them..." He spoke. "Now, will you join? All you have to do is behave and follow my rules..."
Ralph swallowed thickly. "Okay..."
"Swear you'll never disobey me?"
"Yes."
"Swear to never try to tell me what to do?"
"Yes."
"Good..." He sneered and leaned in close, his lips brushing against Ralph's ear. "You want me, Ralph?" He whispered.
Ralph blinked. "W-What?"
"Do you want me? Do you want to claim me? Make sure none of those other silly little boys take me away from you?"
Ralph breathed heavily, finding Jack to be strangely alluring. "I do."
"Good...I'll be happy to claim you back...No more Piggy trying to take you from me..." He growled, tugging Ralph close to himself.
Ralph said nothing. He leant his head against Jack's shoulder, thinking back to the day of when the fire went out.You don't own me
Don't say I can't go with other boys...Ralph had been beyond furious to find that the fire had gone out. They could have gone home if Jack hadn't let the damn bloody fire out. He could have at least had someone stay behind to watch the fire. But no, they all had to hunt. Hunt, hunt, hunt. All for a silly little pig. Yes, they needed food. But they could've gotten a decent meal if that person had seen the fire and scooped them up.
Damn you, Jack Merridew, thought Ralph.
When Jack and his Hunters came strolling up excitedly with the dead pig, Ralph was certainly displeased. Jack hadn't noticed this, however.
"You should've been with us, Ralph. There was lots of blood!" He had said.
Laughter filled the air from Jack's group. This annoyed Ralph. "There was a plane..." Laughter still hung in the air. "THERE WAS A PLANE!" He shouted. Silence, now. Ralph continued on. "They could've seen us! We could've gone home!"
The two eldest boys stared at each other now, neither one of them making a noise. That's when Piggy went off his bullocks. "You and your bloody hunting, Jack Merridew! We could've gone home!"
Jack rolled his eyes and turned back to the dead pig, kneeling down as he began to get it ready for eating with one of the other boys. "We needed meat."
Piggy continued. "You didn't have to let the fire go out!"
Jack glared at the fat boy and stabbed his knife into the pig before standing up. He shoved a couple of boys out of the way and without any hesitation, he sent a hard smack right across Piggy's face, his specs falling off and cracking in the process.
"My specs!" Piggy gasped.
"Here...Here they are..." Simon spoke softly, pinching the glasses between his fingers as he held them up to Piggy.
Piggy grabbed them and slid them back onto his face, the one lens cracked. He glared at Jack. "Just you wait!"
Jack just walked back over towards the food he had caught. Ralph stopped him. "That was a dirty trick." He said.
Jack turned to look at him. "All right, all right. I'm sorry. About the fire, I mean. There, I apologized."
Back then, Ralph would have thought Jack was just a selfish bully. But now that he knew the auburn's feelings, he thought differently. And don't tell me what to do
Don't tell me what to say...
And please, when I go out with you
Don't put me on display...In the shadows of the night lay the two slender bodies of the odd couple. The auburn laid on top of the fair boy and their lips attacked one another with passion and hunger, their bodies submerged in sweat.
They broke apart and Jack rested his forehead against Ralph's, panting in unison with him. "You're mine..."
Ralph smiled. "All yours, Jack Merridew."You don't own me
Don't try to change me in any way...
You don't own me
Don't tie me down 'cause I'd never stay...
