“Hello, your call cannot be taken at this moment. Please leave your message after the tone.” Before the answering machine even gave me the beep I ended the call. Again. I had tried calling Ollie for the past ten minutes, but he wasn’t answering. Not even fifteen minutes ago I had numerous missed calls from him, and now he wouldn’t even answer me. Bollocks.
I started making my way out of the woods as it was dropping cold and I didn’t really want to be caught up in the thick trees by myself.
I felt like crying, I really did. I was left in the middle of some goddamn park as Harry liked to call it. This was not a park. A park is a nice clearing of fields and a playground for small children. This was a wood. Why on earth did he think it’d be a good idea to bring me to a wood?
Well, apparently he didn’t think it was such a great idea as he’d left not minutes after we’d arrived, without me.
I continued walking, trying to reach the edge of the woods and back to the car park. As I was walking I checked my phone to see if by some miracle Oliver had called me, but there was nothing. I noticed I only had 47% battery left. It really bugged me when I had less than half of my battery left, I don’t know why.
Instead of calling Oliver this time, I called Eva, hoping she’d pick up my call.
“Layla? Oh my god you’re alive!” Eva squealed as she answered.
“Yeah,” I laughed lightly. “Barely.”
“What do you mean, did that twat do anything to you because I swear these fists of fury will not hesitate to-“
“Eva, I’m fine. I’m not with Harry.” I spoke, sitting down on a bench once I reached the car park.
“What do you mean? Where’d he go? I thought you were spending the whole day together?” She bombarded me with questions, and I struggled to remember what I was answering. My mind was still clouded with questions I needed answering.
“He kind of left. I’m at some woods.”
“Are you serious? He left?”
“Yes, I overheard him on the phone to someone, I don’t know who, and he went ape shit at me when he found out I’d heard him and just stormed off back to the car. Talk about fucking psycho.” I concluded, rolling my eyes at how ridiculous this whole situation was. “Anyway, can you please come and get me?” I asked, resting my head on my hand.
“Yeah sure hun, I’ll get Oliver to drive us.”
“You’re still at my brother’s place?” I laughed.
“Well yeah, he has better food than my parent’s and I still have a wicked hangover. Ollie really does know how to look after someone with a hangover.” She commented and I rolled my eyes. I knew how Eva was, once a guy was nice to her she immediately got the hots for him, and since she’d known me a long time, she developed the hots for Oliver a while ago.
