Part one:
It was prom night. The night all of us seniors have been waiting our entire lives for. I was the head of the prom committee so I was especially excited. Well that was until I saw my boyfriend cheating on me with the school skank. I was devastated, well I did start to feel better after I slashed his car tires. It was the night of prom and I was dateless. I was sitting outside of the schools gym. I had to make sure everything was perfect. I started getting depressed when all of the girls started leaving to go get ready. I couldn't believe I was going to miss out on prom. "(Y/n), is everything okay?" I heard someone ask me. I looked over and it was Marcel. He and I had two classes together. He was what you would call a geek but he was one of the sweetest guys I know. I stuck up for him when others joked about him. He had on a Star Wars shirt and his hair was gelled like always. His glasses always drooped to the edge of his nose, so he was constantly fixing it. "Um yeah, everything is fine. Thanks for coming to fix the lights at the last minute. I really appreciate it." I told him as I touched his shoulder. He started to blush, "Um, it's no problem. I'm glad to help." I looked at my watch, "Shouldn't you be getting ready? Prom should be starting in a while." He looked at me, "I'm not going. I couldn't find a date. What about you? All the other girls are probably high on nail polish and hairspray fumes." I laughed, "I'm not going either. Couldn't find a date." "What?! Someone like you could find a date in seconds." He said appalled. "Well I could find one, I just don't know how to keep one." I replied bitterly. It was quiet for a few minutes. "Why don't we go together?" I suggested. He looked shocked, "Are you sure you want to go with me? I mean I'm not exactly popular." "I don't care about that. I just want us to have fun and enjoy prom. We shouldn't be at home on our own prom." I said standing up. I grabbed his hand and pulled him up too, "Okay, what time should I pick you up, (y/n)?" I glanced at my watch again, "Seven. It should give us enough time to get ready and grab some dinner before." Little did I know Marcel would have a few surprises for me that night.
