The next morning, I woke up around noon. All of last nights events started replaying in my mind. I couldn't help but smile. Marcel made my senior prom memorable. I knew then and there that I was falling for him. I fell for him hard and fast. After we left prom, we had the limo driver bring us to the beach. One of the after parties was there but we sat on a sand dune and just talked. It felt like we talked for hours and hours. We talked about our childhoods, likes and dislikes, and the future. "It may seem weird that I'm saying this so soon, but I don't want to spend another day without you." Marcel confessed as we looked at the nights sky. Instantly butterflies erupted in my stomach. I felt my cheeks heat up as he wrapped his arms around me. I felt like we were the only two left in the universe. My lips tingled at the thought of last night. I went downstairs to see what my parents were up to. "Mom? Dad?" I called out but I didn't get a response. I went into the kitchen and there were a dozen red roses on the counter. I opened the card: "Red roses for my queen, love Marcel." My heart started beating faster. I grabbed my cell phone and called him. I wondered if he was even awake. "Hello?" He answered. His voice was full of sleep. It was adorable. "Sorry for waking you up. I just wanted to thank you for the flowers. They're beautiful, Marcel." "Like you. Look, I want to take you out to dinner tonight, if you are free." He said. "I might be busy. I need to check my schedule." I joked. "Ha ha very funny, (y/n). I'll be there around 6:30?" Marcel suggested. "I can't wait." I told him. "I had an amazing time with you last night, (y/n). Honestly, you made my senior prom. If it weren't for you I would be at home studying for finals." He chuckled. "I would be doing the same if it weren't for you. Thanks for everything." I heard him yawn, "I'm going to get some more sleep. See you at 6:30." We hung up and I had mixed emotions. Part of me was excited for our date, but the other part remembered that we were going to be graduating in six days. I didn't know what the future had in store for us and that scared the hell out of me.
