I needed coffee. It had been a long night. I went downstairs to start making some. All of the crying was started to give me a migraine. I started the coffee maker and grabbed my favorite mug. I looked at the photos that were on the wall like I did every morning. The first one I saw was my high school graduation. It was a memorable night. It seemed like it was just yesterday, but almost seven years passed since I threw my cap in the air. The other photos were college related. I had a blast at Standford. I bust my ass to make it on the Dean's List and make friends that would last a lifetime. Once the coffee was done, I poured it into my mug and added a little milk. I felt so much better. I needed my sleep, but I wasn't going to be getting any soon. I went back upstairs and into my room. He was fast asleep. Thankfully, he wasn't snoring. I knew he was just as tired as I was. I laid next to him. His curls were all over the place. This last month has been crazy for the both of us. I ran my fingers through his hair a little. He started to stir in his sleep a little so I stopped. "Why did you stop?" He yawned and I smiled. "I didn't want to bug you." He chuckled, "You could never bug me, babe." He pulled me into his arms and I rested my head on his chest. "How long did you sleep?" He asked me as he yawned yet again. "Almost five hours. It's a new record." I laughed. "I'll make sure you get a nap in today." He kissed the top of my head and rubbed my back repeatly. I started to flashback. I remembered the long distance phone calls. The facetiming. The surprise visits. Somehow Marcel and I managed to make through the four years of college. When we graduated, he asked me to marry him. I was still in shock at how I managed to get an amazing guy like him. "What are you thinking about?" He whispered as he lifted my chin up slightly. "Our life together so far. I'm so happy, Marcel." I pressed my lips against his softly. I loved him to the moon and back. "I only live to make you happy, love." He whispered as he deepened the kiss. I ran my fingers through his curls and he hitched my leg around his waist. "I love you so much." He mumbled as he kissed my neck. Just as his lips found mine again, we heard crying. "It's your turn." I laughed and he stretched a little before getting out of bed. He left the room and a few minutes later the crying stopped. I went to follow him. I leaned against the doorframe of the nursery as I watched Marcel hold our baby. Darcy. She was gorgeous. She had his eyes. I listened as he sang to her and she started to drift back off to sleep. I was so lucky to have the family that I did. I was so thankful. Marcel placed her back in her crib and watched her. I went and wrapped my arms around his waist. "She's perfect." I whispered. "She's just like her mother." He replied as he kissed me again.
