"So can you tell me exactly why you have me blindfolded?" I was getting impatient. Shortly after Marcel, picked me up he blindfolded me. I asked him questions but he didn't answer them. "We are almost there." He chuckled. He stopped the car and then I heard him open his door. "Give me a few minutes." He said to me. Soon, he opened my door and helped me out. As soon as I got out of the car I heard waves crashing. I felt the sand beneath my shoes. He took the blindfold off. There were candles and rose peddles everywhere. They surrounded a blanket that had a picnic basket on it. I gasped and looked over at him, "Marcel! It's beautiful." He pulled me into his arms and kissed the top of my head, "Anything for you." We got settled on the blanket and he pulled out a pizza box and a bottle of apple cider. The sun was started to set and it was a gorgeous. "Are you excited for our last week of high school?" Marcel asked me while he handed me a slice of pizza. I started getting that worrying feeling again. "Um yeah. It should be fun." I answered looking down. "I just want to get finals over with. They stress me out." He mumbled. I scoffed at his statement, "Marcel, you are the smartest person in our class. You have nothing to worry about." He smiled a little, "I'm glad you have so much confidence in me. I guess it'll be harder at Princeton in the fall." He was going to Princeton; I was going to Stanford. He would be all the way across the country from me. I just nodded my head. I didn't know what to really say to be honest. "Is something wrong?" He asked as he moved a little closer. "Talking about going away is kind of scary. I just.... I just got you and knowing now that we are going to be thousands of miles apart is heartbreaking." I confessed. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I leaned into him. "We are going to make this work, (y/n). I care deeply about you. I'm not just going to let you go." He reassured me. He lifted my chin slightly and pressed his lips against mine. "There was something that I wanted to ask you tonight." He told me after we broke apart. "What is it?" I asked him nervously. I wondered if he was going to finally ask me what I've been waiting for. "Will you be my girlfriend, (y/n)? You would make me the happiest guy in the universe if you say yes." He smiled. I kissed him again, "Yes!" I gave him a huge hug and it made us topple over. I was on top of him and we started laughing. "I could get use to this." He winked. I hit his chest softly and laid next to him. We looked up at the sky as the stars started to shine. "You mean the world to me,(y/n)." He blurted out randomly. I looked at him and giggled, "Thank you, but where did that come from?" "I just wanted you to know that." He kissed the side of my head. I then started to worry if he felt that our time was limited just like I did.
