By the way, this story is also on my quotev account that I'm sharing on wattpad as well. I hope you enjoy it! <3

It was a breezy, sunny evening and my little sister and I were raking leaves in the front yard like we occasionally do on Sunday's.

"Lillian, Julia, dad is gonna make some spaghetti for dinner. Ok?" My mother shouted from the second floor window.
"Ok!" Julia yelled back.

After my mom sealed the window and when I knew she wasn't listening, I whispered to Julia, "Don't you ever get bored of raking leaves?"

She stopped raking and looks up at me with a stupid smile on her face.

"Nope," she stated plainly.
"Why? It's not interesting at all," I complained.
"Because after we rake the leaves we can jump in the pile of leaves and they fly up like air planes and float down like snowflakes!" Julia exclaimed with an excited look on her face.

I rolled my eyes as I put my hands on my hips saying, "I see your point there, but you forgot one itsy, bitsy, little, detail..."

She tilted her head in confusion.

"After you jump in the leaf piles and go inside, I have to rake up your mess! So really you're making more work for me! So I'd really appreciate if you wouldn't do that," I stated annoyed.
"Ok, ok, sure.. Whatever you want..." she mumbled under her breath.

After that clearly tense conversation, I finished raking the leaves and headed inside.

We ate our spaghetti for dinner then we went upstairs to brush our teeth and get our pajamas on.

"Good night Lilie!" Julia shouted from across the hallway in her bedroom.
"Night!" I shouted back.

I was organizing my book shelf when about five minutes later Julia came prancing into my room.

"Hey Lilie, thanks for the present you left me!" She said with that stupid smile on her face again.
"Um, Julia, I didn't get you any presents... that I know of..." I hesitantly stated with concern.

Julia stared at me with a blank face.

"Then why did I have, this, " she held up a hand sized little lamb, "on my bed side table?"

I shrugged in confusion. The lamb had white fur with floppy ears and a small pink cotton daisy sticking out of its mouth.

"Did you ask mom or dad if they gave that to you?" I asked while putting my favorite books in pristine shape, on the very top shelf.
"Yeah, and they said that they hadn't given it to me so I assumed that you gave it to me."

Then there was a silence when we were both thinking the same thing. This is odd. No one knows who gave Julia the lamb, but, someone, had to have done it. Well, maybe she had it before and possibly forgot about it. A stuffed animal can't just show up from out of nowhere though.

Suddenly, she turned the lamb around to face herself and said, "Oh, hi."
"Uh, hi back,"I said to her confused.
"I wasn't talking to you Lilie" she said with an attitude. "I was talking to Stell."

Who the heck was Stell? No one else is in the room.

"Who's, Stell?" I asked afraid to find out.

She held up the lamb that was is her hand, so I could see it. I'm guessing that the lamb is what she was talking to.

"Julia, you do know that stuffed animals can't talk, right?" I asked with concern.

"Stell is, not just a stuffed animal." She claimed and seemed to be offended.

She looked at the lamb again. This time she put all of her focus on it and didn't look away for a second.

"Stell, I know we just met and now we are best friends now but I can't do that to her, she's my sister." She explained to the stuffed animal.

What was she talking about?

"Do what?" I asked almost leaning off my bed anticipating the answer.

She resisted and didn't answer.

"Did you even hear me?" I asked sending a chill down my spine.

"You can't do what?" I yelled wanting to know.
My mom barged into my room and chewed me out, "Why are you yelling, Lilie?! You two should be in bed by now. Julia go to your bedroom, now."
"But mommy, I'm not tired," Julia complained.
"I don't care if you aren't tired. Go to bed and shut the door behind you, please." She ordered.

Julia spun around on her heels and stomped out the door slamming it behind her. It was just my mom and I. I was sitting on my bed, wondering what Julia was talking about.

"Lilie, you need to calm down. She didn't mean to upset you. She only wanted to help," my mom attempted to explain.
I looked down to avoid eye contact and responded, "She didn't make me upset, mom," I paused emphasizing the word, mom, and continued, "You weren't there, therefore you have no idea what happened."
"Lilie, I'm worried about you. You've been having anger issues and I jus-"
"I do not have anger issues! I'm completely fine!" I shouted now standing up clenching and unclenching my fists.
"Lilie..." She said trying to hug me but I stopped her before she could even lay a finger in me.
"No! Just, go away!" I shouted as I ran out of my bedroom and down the hall into the spare bedroom slamming the door behind me.

I heard her running down the hallway so I immediately locked the door shut. She stopped at the door and knocked. I stayed silent.

She knocked again this time saying, "lils, open the door, please."

I said nothing. I sat on the bed and refusing to open the door. I didn't move, I didn't breathe, and I didn't talk. About five minutes later, my mom walked back down the stairs. Once I didn't hear her high heels clapping down the stair case anymore, I fell backward onto the bed with a sigh. I looked at the alarm clock, eight thirty-four, almost exactly when I'm supposed to be in bed.

I crawled over the messy pillows sprawled over the queen sized bed and set the alarm clock to wake me up at seven o'clock a.m. I had school tomorrow and I was not looking forward to it. I got up and took my clothes off.

I stared out the window into a dark backyard and saw the glowing green eyes of a small baby bunny. While I put on a worn out tank top and navy blue shorts, I began to wonder what Julia really heard or if she actually heard anything at all. I slipped into bed and flicked off the lamp in the bedside table.

I lied there in the pitch dark hoping and praying that Julia wasn't going crazy, insane. Maybe she was just tricking me. Maybe it was a prank. I hope so anyway... I let my eyes fall shut and my mind wander into a deathly silent sleep...

Hey! Evie Pink here!
I hope you liked my first chapter! I did write this when I was younger (hence the shortness of this chapter) but thanks for giving the beginning of my story a read! Through writing this story, it's helped me develop my personal writing style. You may see a variety of different writing styles in my first few chapters but by chapter 5, I sorted out how I like to write.
If any of you see some mistakes, please feel free to tell me! I am open to any feedback you readers have to say! :) I'm also open to reading other stories you might possibly have! If you'd like me to read something of your creation, just message me!
Thanks for reading this terribly long ending!
