"So, how was your business trip, dad?" I asked hesitantly.

Did he know that I found out about magic? About the wizarding world? That I'm a witch, and that Liam's a wizard?

"Not that bad actually, lots of meetings about new museum openings though. Had to stay in France for the most part and they have really nice hotel rooms there, much larger and sophisticated than I'd expected," my dad explained as he handed me Noodle and I began to gently stroke her back as she purred.

"Cool." [I (Evie) just reread all that and realized all that Lilie's dad said, Lilie replied with one word XD]

There was a long and irritating silence.

"Um, dad?" I asked as Noodle tried to jump off my lap but I caught her mid-air and plopped her back.

"Yes?" He replied. I think he knew what I was going to ask.

"Did mom tell you about, the, magic letter, witch, wizard, Hogwarts, thing?"

He laughed and replied, "Yes, and you got your school supplies today too. Along with that kitten of yours. You see, if I hadn't known, I probably would have questioned why you had so much stuff by now."

I smiled, relieved that he knew and I didn't have to explain. Soon enough we got back to my house and I dragged my new school supplies up to my room. Halfway up the stairs, Julia came pouncing towards me and nearly knocked everything over.

"Oh, sorry. What's all that for?"

I sighed in frustration and explained that it was for my new school. Julia is the only one in my family that doesn't know about magic, about me being a witch, and Liam being a wizard but it was for her own good. I don't know why it's good for her, my parents just said that it was.

You know, sometimes I really don't understand adults. Well, I guess I don't have to understand them for a long time because I'm not going to be an adult any time soon and I'm happy about that.

"Why do you have a cat? I want a cat! Moom!!! Daaad!!! I want a kitty tooooo!"

I shook my head and pushed past her finally reaching the top of the stairs. I dragged my things into my bedroom and plopped them right onto the middle of my bedroom floor.

I glanced outside my boring pearl white trimmed window and saw that it had started lightly raining, almost drizzling. I grabbed

Noodle off the very top of the pile and gently dropped her onto my bed, "I'll be right back with some food and water, just for you."

She immediately circled around and lied down on my pillow to take a nap.

"Never mind then. Guess your not interested."

I shrugged and went out into the hallway. I passed my sister's bedroom, hearing her talking to something again, and ubruptly skidded to halt. I slowly backed up and pressed my ears up to the door to listen.

Julia was whispering, it was difficult to understand but I managed to make out most of her words, "and she says that she's going to a new school,"

she paused, as if she was listening to something,

"she left to go somewhere today, and when she came back she had a bunch of stuff like trunks and bags full of boring black robes and books. She told me it was for school. She also had a kitten, which made me want to get a kitty too, but my mom and dad won't let me. Say that, 'I'm too young to take care of a pet on my own,' but I say if my sister gets one, I should get one too, otherwise it'll be unfai- what? she is?"
