I eagerly jumped off the bus so glad to breath fresh air that wasn't full of body odor. I patted my sister's back in good bye and she walked off into the school with her many, many, friends. I can't help but dance a bit while strolling to the trash can and chucking my half eaten red apple into it.

I glanced up and saw Liam waiting outside the school for me, like he does everyday. I furiously waved at him until he noticed me as I made a long trek to where Liam was. He smiled and waved back.

I continued towards Liam with a big fat dorky smile plastered across my face. I can't wait to tell him about what happened last night. I wonder what he'll think.

I came up to him as he said to his soccer team mate, "I'll talk to you later."
His friend left as Liam faced me and I casually said, "Hey! What's up?"

I still had that dorky smile on my face. It seemed like I couldn't stop smiling.

"Well first of all," he announced as he put his finger up, "in a matter of fact, the sky is up," I weirdly took a quick look up and laughed, "Liam, I know the sky is up."
"Well, then why did you ask?" he asked chuckling slightly.
"Never mind," I stated still giggling a little bit. Liam smiled and continued, "And second of all, why didn't you want to know what I had to say?" he asked as we slowly but surely made our way to our lockers that happened to be right next to each other.
"I got too stressed about forgetting that there was a stupid math test today that I turned my phone off before you could say anything else, sorry about that..." I apologized.

I trailed off as we put our backpacks in our lockers and got our history and science text books.

"Na, it's ok, I understand. I mean I wouldn't expect any less from a hot head like you," he smirked.
"I am NOT a hot head!" I said as I fake pouted and shut our lockers.

Now waiting until we needed to get to class he said, "By the attitude you just gave me, you pretty much just proved my point."

He laughed and I playfully punched him in the shoulder.

"Owww.." he pretended that he was hurt.
Laughing and shaking my head I said, "I know you're faking, Liam."
"Aww.." he sighed with a disappointed look on his face, "How did you know?"
"Well, you're not exactly the best at acting," I admitted.
"Ok ok, good point," he put his hands up in defeat.
"Anyway, what did you want to tell me?" I asked. He tensed up immediately.
"Well," his face transformed from silly to serious, "my parents told me that... I'm not going to be going to school here anymore. I'm changing schools."

I immediately became furious and hurt but attempted to calm myself and hide it, "Ok.. Well, am I going to be able to see you during the summer?"
He hesitated as I tried to hold back my sadness.
"I-I don't know..." he said staring at me with a sad look on his face.

I looked down and casually swung my hair in front of my face so he couldn't see that I was gently tearing up. I just nodded. I felt like there was a bowling ball lodged in my throat.

"Jeez.. I didn't think you'd take this news so badly," he admitted as he put an arm around my shoulder squeezing it.

He really felt bad about this too.

"I think I might be able to fit you in my suitcase if you're able to release some pressure inside that head of yours," he said as he patted my shoulder.

I chuckled.

"Even when giving bad news, you're still able to crack a joke," I managed to spit out before I started to cry even more.

He shrugged in agreement. Once I looked up, I realized people were staring at us.

Furiously wiping away my tears I whispered, "You could have told me that people were staring at us..."

I quickly pulled away from Liam's arm and was rapidly quickening my pace towards the history classroom.

Liam caught up to me and said, "Forget them, don't be so self conscious."

Easy for him to say, when someone insults him, he just shakes it off and makes a joke about it. I was about to say something when the bell to get to our classrooms rang. I shuffled to my seat in the back corner, making sure to avoid Liam, and sat down making sure no one saw the newly erupting tears streaming down my face. My best friend, my only friend, is leaving me...
