😄💙Blind Love💙😄

The last thing I saw were the paramedics struggling to keep me alive. Then, darkness over took me.

"Benji? Where are you?" I yelled, looking for my older brother, Benjamin, after waking up to the beeps of something.

"Oh, Lil, I was so worried," I heard my dad walk in the room.

"Dad? Why is it so dark? Is it midnight? Is this a prank?" I asked.

"You mean, you can't see us?" I heard Ben speak.

"No... What's going on?" I asked again, feeling panic take over me.

"You got in a car crash, well a guy was drunk driving and hit you really hard. The doctors were surprised you even survived with only a head injury and a broken arm." I heard dad say like it was a miracle. Well, it kinda was.

"But I can't see!" I whined, shaking my hand in front of me. "I'm f*cking blind! BLIND!!!"

"Lilly, you'll be fine. The doctor's on her way to talk with us." Ben reasoned.

"Well, I'm already here. Hello I'm Dr. Storm." I heard a female voice.

"How does she look like?" I asked Ben.

"Brunet, blue round eyes, curly shoulder length hair, fair skin, about as tall as me." He responded.

"Thanks," I sigh, realizing that this was going to become a norm for me.

"You'll be fine, but... You might be permanently blind." She said, sympathy laced on her voice.

"No..." I felt tears roll on my cheek.

"Lil," I felt Benji's protective arms around me.

"We have an option for you, but you'll have to wait until you're better." I heard Dr. Storm talk.

"That is?" I heard dad ask.

" transplant. It's very safe, only a 0.01% chance of death or injury. No one's died yet, and many doctors advice it." She chirped. "We have very skilled doctors, and every  transplant they've had been successful."

"Lil?" Dad asked.

"I'm not sure..." I hesitated.

"You can wait as long as you'd like, but the earliest we can start for you is in a year or so." She said.

"Why?" I asked, not caring much about the consequences right now.

"You're brain's still pretty damaged. We have to wait until the swelling shrinks, or is manageable for the surgery. We also need you to be supper healthy so you brain and eyes get a better chance of healing."

"Oh..." I sigh.

"Lil?" Benji asked.

"I'll do it. When can you do the surgery?" I asked, anxious for an answer.

"Well, in a year and a half should be a reasonable time. Mr. De Fla?" She asked.

"Well... I... How much does it cost?" He asked.

"Um... $1,000 Mr. De Fla." She hesitated.

"We'll see."

I swear, my heart skipped a beat, because my world and hope just disappeared.

"She can be discharged in a week, will you come with me to sign a few papers?" Dr. Storm asked.

I heard dad walking out.
