Half dragon/human (Kaya (dad calls her Fern)) tries to protect others, is taken away to the queen (Pricilla)(Kai panics and has a panic attack (shifts into 'dragon' when she's taken)). Her son (prince (James)) 'saves' her by taking her as his personal slave/pet. Kai hates him, but he tries to become... acquaintances. Kai's dad (Solecist) is enraged and plans war. James manages to run to Solecist and tell him what's going on, and helps him plan (dad almost kills James until he smelled Kai on him). Kai slowly begins to warm up to James, but when she's forced to go to a ball with him, and a duke friend of his forces himself onto her/almost takes her away, she's put back into a panic (shifts into her 'dragon' form) and tries to escape, she faints when she sees James trying to hold her. Solecist was present (disguised as a far away king (not technically a lie)) and becomes protective dad. His soldiers come out and plan starts (only the queen is killed (king was sick and didn't know what was going on) and her followers where either warned or also killed). In exchange of his daughter's well being (and being allowed to take her home) Solecist heals the King (Arthur). James tells Solecist that he loves Kai. Solecist told James he had to wait till Kai was fully grown (when she's eighteen (two and a half years later) James's nineteen). James agrees (hesitantly). Three years later, Solecist brings Kai back, which she had forced herself to forget about, except for James (now king). When staying the night she get PTSD, her dad goes 'papa dragon' and guards her door in dragon form. James gets angry that Kai is scared of him and some other (specific) humans. He locks her in his room. Solecist (not wanting to get his daughter hurt (and since he somewhat likes James)) tries to reason with him. James says this is only for two weeks, then if she's still scared, they can leave. Kai leaves two weeks later, but they are ambushed by the duke and she's taken to be his queen (so he can rule the dragons too) Sol is injured, but manages to tell James about what happened. James and his and Sol's armies go to save Kai. She's out cold when they find her. Duke is defeated (after he says he had a wonderful time with her). James takes Kai back to her home. She thanks James and apologizes about everything. He waves her off. She kissed him and tells him to visit soon. She's a month later told she carries the duke's child. Kai panics and runs into the forest. She's injured and James saves her. She's told the child was lost when she got injured. Kai, devastated, goes back home where her dad pampers her. James and her become besties, they both develop feeling for each other, and when they're 24, Kai asks James to become her mate (the dragon way) and James later asks her to Mary him (The human/dragon way? (Ring looks like the one from gravity falls)). At 25, they are told Kai carries a child. Kai states 'this is just another great adventure we are to endure in'.
James says 'that it is my dear, that it is.'
