AngelPOV.:

"Daddy?" I asked, my eyes watering slightly, a hand cupping my bruised, and slightly bleeding cheek.

"Just-Just g-go to yo-your room." He said through gritted teeth. He was holding the hand he had hit me with, as if to control it.

"Axel!" Mom yelped as dad hunched over, the air filling with electricity. The hand that had hit me was now glowing with pale yellow symbols.

"Go. Up stairs. I'll-I'll Tell. You. When. To. Come. Back. Down." He panted.

"Honey..."

"Maria! Go!" He yelled at her. His normally sky blue eyes were now a dark stormy grey.

"Mommy?" I asked, too confused to even noticed the fear in her eyes.

"Come on Angel, daddy's just tired." She grabbed my arm, pulling me upstairs, to my room.

"Mommy? Is daddy going to be okay?" I asked once we were inside.

"I-I hope so." Her eyes fogged up in thought. "He's strong. He'll be just fine."

I heard a nightmarish cry rattle the house. A sudden shock of electricity ran through me, but I just tightened my hand that was holding my mother's.

"Come here, Angel." Mom pulled me into a hug. "Everything's going to be okay." She repeated over and over again.

"Mommy? Can you sing to me?" I asked, giving her puppy dog eyes.

She smiled sadly. "Anything for you my sweet Angel." She started humming, tucking me into bed.
"Come little children
I'll take thee away
Into a land of enchantment!
Come little children
The times come to play
Here in my garden of shaadowww..."

"Love you Angel." She whispered, not even finishing the song as I fell into a deep sleep.

~Nine years later~

"Gah!" I yelp as I got electrocuted by the door knob to exit my room.

"Angel? Are you okay?" I heard dad yelling from down stairs.

"Yes! Just got electrocuted by this stupid door knob!" I yelled back, reaching for the knob again.

"Ouch!" I yelped again, noticing the electricity run between me and the knob. It hurt, and slow tears were falling down my cheek.

"Angel? Are you sure your fine?" I heard dad ask again from behind the door.

I sniffled. "I keep getting electrocuted by this stupid door,"

"Honey, I think we need to talk, I'm opening the door now, okay?" He said softly.

"Yeah, okay." I stepped away from the door.

He opened the door quickly with mom behind him carrying Gabriel, my little brother, with a worried expression, while dad had a slightly exited expression.

"Daddy?" I asked.

"Honey, you know daddy's not like most people, right?" Mom asked, sitting besides me on my bed.

I nodded, wiping off a tear.

"Well, look sweetheart, he's a fallen, or a fallen angel. He still has some of his powers and... disagreements with demons."

"I kind of figured, I-I've seen his, um, scars..." I trailed of as I saw pain flash through his eyes.

"Yes, well his powers are... well... um... Axel?" She looked at him.
