As Giovanni sat down I assessed his atire. He was wearing a white simple button up dress shirt and a black blazer with black dress pants. Simple but so sexy at the same time. As he pulled the chair closer to the table he brought his sleeves up and my eyes met with an expensive and stylish Rolex watch.

''Nice watch.'' I complimented.

He looked at his wrist and back and me and gave me a smile ''Thanks,''

''So what's a pretty fine lady like yourself doing at a boring event like this?''

I blushed at his compliment and he chuckled at my non verbal response.

''My sister claims I don't get out much cause of work so she pratically forced me to come here to get out and live a little.'' I say pathetically.

''My younger brother does the same,'' he laughed quietly. ''He says I work too much too, and I should explore the world and all that.'' he put quotation marks in the air with his long slender fingers and I laughed.

We continued to sit and talk to each other about our siblings and their antics until Giovanni's phone rang loudly in his shirt pocket.

He gave me an apologetic smile and withdrew the device from his pocket and looked up at the caller I.D and told me, ''Business.''

He got up without another word and swiftly walked out the door into the cold air. I finished my food and called a waiter over and got a drink of water. I gulped down my drink and my phone suddenly beeped indicating I had a text message. I took my phone out of my black sparkly clutch and looked at the screen and saw the text was from Dimitri. It had to be urgent for him to be calling this late. I quickly put in my passcode and read the entire message.

From - Dimitri ;

URGENT.

Sorry to ruin your evening Estelle but I just got important case information regarding Vincenzo Battista. I need you to come into the office right now with some coffee, tea and food cause we might be staying here a while. Sorry again. -

Ughh, I was finally having a bit of fun and getting a some sort of a social life and here comes work again. I got up and went to find Claire to inform her I'll be leaving to go to the office. Bad idea.

''What? No, you're not leaving Es. You work all day, it's time to have fun!'' she pouted with her puppy dog eyes. I shook my head, not this time. ''Sorry Claire, but it's urgent. I'll see you in a couple of hours, yeah?'' I reasoned. ''Bullshit, but fine. I love you.'' I gave her a small smile, knowing she wanted me to stay but let me go regardless.

As I was walking towards the door to exit, Giovanni entered putting away his phone. He frowned a little, seeing me walk rapidly towards the door.

''Estelle, going so soon?'' he sounded disappointed and that made butterflies in my stomache loving how he didn't want me to leave. Truthfully I didn't want to leave either but it was urgent.

''Yes, my boss just called and he needs me in the office. I had a nice time talking to you though.'' I gave him a small smile.

''Me too,'' he suddenly looked nervous, his hand coming up to rub the back of his neck. 'If you want I could drive you to your um, office?'' he was blushing the entire time.

''Sure, I'd love that.''

''Great, my car is this way.'' He gestured toward the parking lot next to the building and we began walking in there.

We got there and I was stunned to see his car. It was a sleek, black Ferrari. He must be a rich business man to afford this car. I wondered what other luxurious things he had like the car and his watch.

''Wow,'' I breathed. ''I love your car.'' I laughed.

He laughed along with me, while pulling out his key out of his black dress pants and pressing a red button. Out of nowhere both car does slowly rose up toward the black sky.

My jaw dropped. ''Are you serious? Oh my God.'' I squealed.

He grinned. ''Hop in.''

I got into the car and sat in the deep red leather seats which were so comfortable. The doors sank back down into place and Giovanni began driving.

''Where's the office?'' he said while making a right.

I gave him the address, which wasn't too far from where we were.

''Wait, so when you told me at the diner that you were a criminal lawyer, you meant that you work for the city?''

''Yes, I'm the Manhattan assistant district attorney. I'm surprised you know the address was the D.A's office.'' I said, a little shocked that he knew my office. Most people walk by my office every day without even knowing it's the Manhattan office. Only lawyers, court officials, police and some reporters knew it.

It took him a few seconds to respond but he said, "Yeah, I know a few people there."
I was going to question him further but before I could get anything out he asked me, ''So what's the big thing going on at work that your boss needs you so urgently for?'' he made a sharp left and I was beginning to familiarize myself with the office's surroundings.
