Lead me to the river
And caress my body.
I want to stand with my feet
On the rocks,
Toes barely touching the
Silver rippling waters.
I hope that the water
Will flow into me
And replenish my body
Of the things that I no longer have.
I have let my soul fly away,
Like a bird over the earth,
But it's time for it to return,
Time for it to grow
And flourish inside of me
Once again.
