"What do you mean?" asked Jennifer and the commandant simultaneously. Larry just continued to smile. Jennifer narrowed her eyes at him and said, "This is serious, Larry. If you keep smiling like this, then the solving of the case will get postponed. And, in this case, every single second is important. We don't want the guy to commit any more murders, do we?" Larry's smile immediately disappeared off his face. "Alright," he said. "We need to recruit a conspiracy buff." Understanding soon dawned on the face of Larry's two companions. "Uh-huh... but where do we find them?" asked the commandant.
"I know one," said Larry. "His specialty, on which he has done many videos, is that a secret society rules this country and all its enemies are ruled by a rivaling society. I guess I should have paid more attention to him. It would have helped in this particular case."
"Do you have his address?" asked the commandant. Larry nodded. Jennifer murmured, "This is the highlight of my career. Asking a conspiracy buff to help solve a case." They all laughed. They walked up to the fleet of police cars and got into one. Larry revved the engine, and shot off into the city.
Larry maneuvered the Mercedes around the city expertly, like he knew the city like the back of his hand. They soon came to a screeching halt in front of a good-looking house. Larry told them that they could alight from the car. Larry went up to the door and used the brass knocker to knock three times on the door. The door was answered by a man in a casual T-shirt and shorts, who looked slightly annoyed, but immediately brightened up when he saw Larry. "Oh, Larry, what are you here for?" the man asked. "I need to ask you something related to a case that we are solving. That's why, if you don't mind, I have brought a few guests," replied Larry. He gestured for Jennifer and the commandant to come. Larry introduced him to the two police officers. "Jennifer and Commandant, this is Max, the well-known conspiracy buff. He will be able to help us a lot on this case." Max smiled and invited them into his home. "Welcome to my house," he said,"what do you request of me?" Larry asked him if he had a video rod player. Max nodded. "Of course I do. Many of my sources for my videos use video rods, and I use them too because of their security." Max went to a player that looked similar to the one in the police headquarters. The commandant handed him the video rod and said, " This has something about some Organisation and Society. I want you to tell us all you know about these societies after the video ends." Max, who was pulsing with great excitement and happiness that his ten years of work had finally paid off and he was helping in a good way, nodded vigorously. Max inserted the video rod into the hole in the player, and the system instantly booted. Soon, the scene of the large room came up onto the screen. Max paused it. "It's the Hall of the Pioneers!" he exclaimed excitedly. They all looked at him, puzzled. "What do you mean?" the commandant asked. "It's the place where the video is set. It is allegedly the congregation hall of the society that rules our country. They call themselves the Organisation," he explained. "I think that was the Organisation you were talking about." The three of them nodded and Max started playing the video again. The people were still in the same highly formal clothes that they had previously seen, the men in crisp suits and the women in long, flowing gowns of exquisitely crafted silk. "This is their dress code for anyone entering the Hall of the Pioneers," Max added. The video continued, until the financial minister rose from the head of the table. "Yes, I knew it! So she is part of the Organisation," Max said excitedly. Ignoring Max's sudden outburst, Larry, Jennifer and the commandant looked at the screen, trying to look for anything that they might have missed. Soon the part about the speech came.
"Today is a very important day for the Organisation as a whole. We are celebrating our five hundredth anniversary of our glorious existence. We have been continuously trying to make the world a better place for those loyals who follow our noble ideology without hesitation. However, we must be constantly vigilant. Constant vigilance is required from each and every one of you, because the Society, which you all very well know is our sworn enemy and the instigator of many worldwide catastrophic events, like the five World Wars, and the Hot War." Here, Max pause the video again. "They are basically talking about their sworn enemy, that calls themselves the Society and allegedly has complete control over the governments of all of our enemies," he said. This time, it was Jennifer who piped up. "So do you mean that this Organisation has control over our governments and all of our allies?" Max nodded. "How do they keep all this hushed-up?" Jennifer asked again. Max shrugged.
