They kept pushing all night each time doing less and less damage. As morning dawned we saw all the bodies from the fight. Strangely though we found no enemy soldiers. We wondered were they went.
During the big night General William ordered us to fall back to the cliffs. We did and prepared for them to move forward. Soon they got within range. We let them pass us then, boom!
This time we were ready for there attack. We had put up a rear guard. While they didn't see it coming we recovered much faster. They had a counter, aetillery. It rained down on us forcing us to flee into cover. All the while we still had to fight there infantry. Our air support flew over the city but saw no enemy artillery positions.
They expected the attack so our artillery rained down on them. They push, we push. They pulled back. We all cheered in excitement. Maybe just maybe there was hope after all. Just 1 more day to hold off. Our tanks, dirty, torn, and battle worn rolled into position. Just the sight of them gave us more hope.
