Not so much about mental illness but kind of more about imperfections and never feeling good enough
---
Life is not a fairytale,
We can't just be a doll in a dress,
We can't always be the knight in shining armour,
And we can't always be the best.We can't just be a Barbie doll,
And I know surely we can't be Ken,
We can't get admired by absolutely everyone,
And our lives may never feel perfect. You give your heart and pure devotion,
In hope that they'll love you back
But when they don't it utterly destroys you,
And it's so hard to try and forget. You always wear a smile even if it's fake,
Lots of people won't notice,
That you feel worthless, you feel pointless,
Because that's not the life of a princess...We don't all fit in
And we feel lost within the crowd,
You're different but that's what will make you special
However you might always still feel so alone...You care about what people think,
But maybe a little too much...
Whenever someone laughs, you think it's at you,
And the stress destroys your head...You aim for perfection,
The life of a princess,
To feel like a king,
And to stand big and strong. But that's not real life,
That's only seen in storybooks,
We have to accept who we are,
Whether we're broken or we're whole...
Perfection is unattainable,
No matter how far you reach,
Because life is definitely not a fairytale...
