I slowly open my eyes, seeing I'm in Pacifica's bed. I hear a slight gasp from beside me as I feel arms wrap tightly around me.
"Mabel you're okay!"
"Y-yeah.. Did-did you carry me all the way back here?"
Her cheeks slowly begin turning red. "Uhmm.. y-yeah.. I did.."
I lean up, kissing her cheek gently. "Thank you, Pacifica."
"But.. Are.. Are you okay?.."
"Thanks to my amazing girlfriend I am." I say as I kiss her gently.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Her cheeks are glowing a slight red color. The light shining in from her bedroom window bouncing off of her face perfectly, giving her a heavenly glow. Her eyes sparkling as she looks down at me. Her lips upturned ever so slightly.
"You're so beautiful.." I whisper to her.
"Not as beautiful as you.." She replies, leaning down, kissing me once again.
A thought soon comes to mind, causing my eyes to widen as my breath hitches in my throat.
"Wha- Mabel are you okay?"
I quickly shake the thought away. "Oh. Yeah.. Of course.. Just uhm.. A thought came to mind. Don't worry about it."
She furrows her eyebrows slightly, a concerned expressiom etched on her face. "What was it?"
"What if Dipper came back for me.. What if him and my parents are looking for me as we speak but they just never thought to check here.."
Pacifica's eyes widen as she quickly shakes her head, closing her eyes tightly. "Mabel no! That can't be true!" She wraps her arms around me tightly. "Don't think like that, Mabel!"
I wrap my arms back around her, tears forming in my eyes. "You're right.." I clench my fists tightly, grabbing her shirt. "I'm sorry for mentioning it.." A tear slowly rolls down my face. I just close my eyes gently, feeling it roll down my face, inevitibly onto Pacifica's shoulder.
We pull away. I soon rub my eyes, rubbing away the tears and the sleep. I look back at Pacifica, seeing she has slight bags under her eyes. And the area around her eyes are slightly red and puffy. Has that always been there? Did I just never notice before?
"Pacifica did you get any sleep?"
"What? Wh-why does that matter?.." She stutters out, looking away slightly, her cheeks growing red.
"You look really tired.. And have you been crying?"
Her eyes widen slightly, quickly looking back at me. "Mabel- of course I have! You were hurt so bad! I couldn't sleep thinking that you possibly wouldn't have woken up.. The thought killed me.." She looks down slightly, tears forming in her eyes.
I grab her chin gently, pulling her to look back at me, a saddened expression on her face. "I'm here, Pacifica. I will always be right here." I pull her close to me, placing my forehead on hers, looking into her eyes.
Even with the bags under her eyes, the puffiness around them, she's still as beautiful as ever.
"You're beautiful.." I tell her.
"Not nearly as beautiful as you." She looks back at me, a sad smile on her face, tears threatning to fall.
"Oh shut up gorgeous." I say, grabbing her face, quickly pulling her to me, kissing her passionatly. I can feel a tear roll onto my lips.
Pacifica wraps her arms tightly around me, holding me for dear life. I wrap my arms back around her, pulling her closer to me. Not wanting to let her go. Not wanting her to be hurting anymore. I wish I could understand. Understand her hurt. Her brokenness. Maybe then I could help her..
"I'm sorry.." I speak out quietly, pulling away slightly, my lips still on hers.
"Don't be."
I pull away, our arms still wrapped around eachother. Still holding eachother close.
"I wish I could help you.." I look down slightly.
Pacifica lets out a slight gasp, causing me to look back up at her. She looks taken aback.
"Mabel you're doing all you can.. You're doing everything that you can. You make me so happy. There's nothing more you could do. You're the best girlfriend I could have, Mabel."
A smile comes onto my lips with hearing her say that. But it fades away just as quickly as it came onto my lips. "But I want you to be okay.."
"I am. As long as I have you." She pulls me in for a gentle kiss.
I kiss back as gently.
