"We have to wake mommy up before we do presents," he said to the kids. They were impatiently hopping foot to foot, ready to charge into your bedroom and wake you. Niall delayed them as long as possible, but they were present driven heathens and they would not be stopped. "Let’s go get her," with a battle cry, he led the pack down the hall and threw open your bedroom door. He jumped on the bed and wrapped his arms around you from behind as the kids tickled you, their laughter loud and infectious. "Mommy wake up! Daddy said we had to wait for you to open presents!" The eldest said tugging on your hand. "Did he now?" You rasped, still groggy with sleep. Niall nuzzled the back of your neck, his lips tickling your skin. "There’s something for mommy under the tree too," he said huskily behind you. "Presents for me?" You asked sitting up. The kids cheered and yelled, saying it was the biggest pile of presents ever in the whole world. “Well, we should probably go open them!” With more screeches, they charged out of the room. All three of them moving way too fast. “What time is it?” You asked swinging out of bed. “930, I held them off as long as possible.” He wrapped his arms around you and gave you a sweet kiss. “Happy Christmas love,” he took your hand and led you to the tree, where the wrapping paper was accumulating by the second. The kids loved everything, Barbies, doll houses, dresses and for the boy, leggos, dinosaurs and a football. “And for mommy,” Niall said holding out the slim box. You unwrapped it, pleasantly surprised by the gift. (you and Niall had agreed on no presents this year, but he couldn’t help himself.) “Ni,” you said in awe. There, nestled in the velvet, was a charm bracelet. A charm for each child, and a charm for where everywhere you and Niall had ever been together. “My whole world on a bracelet,” you said smiling, pressing a kiss to his lips. “My whole world right here,” He pulled you into his arms and watched his kids play in utter contentment.
