Christmas Eve

Harry: "She’s gunna burn herself out," Harry said as he finished wrapping another present. You may or may not have gone over board this year on presents. She was seven now, it was almost unbelievable to think you had 7 Christmases with your baby girl. She was the light of yours and Harry’s life and you didn’t know how you lived without her before. Everything was Barbie and Disney princess, but Harry already accepted the fact he’d have to be the handsome prince or the evil sorcerer in her stories. He knew he’d spend hours assembling toys and barbie houses and watching Disney movies, but he didn’t care. He already knew Aladdin cover to cover, he couldn’t wait for his baby to fixate on a new movie. "Do you think it’s too much?" You said eyeing the growing pile. Harry shrugged. "I don’t care. We’ve waited years for her and I want to spoil her while I can when she’s innocent and naive. When she still needs you and me," he said softly. You grabbed his hand and made him bring his eyes to yours. "Is that what you’re afraid of? Her not needing you?" You could see it all over Harry’s face. He adored his baby girl, she was his entire universe. "She’ll grow up," he said miserably. The time had already gone too fast."Be that as it may, she’ll always need us," you said gently, curling into his chest. He was a wonderful dad, kind caring and just a tad over protective- just as dads were ought to do. "I want to give my little girl the world," he whispered, his eyes on the gifts. "However I can."
