A witch walked through the forest one night, saying hello to the animals and regrowing plants. As she walked on the animals started to get scared and run away, making her wonder why.
She herd movements in the bushes beside her. As she looked over, someone jumped out and attacked her.
As she fought her attacker someone else came up from behind and stabbed her. She was them thrown at a tree, where they tried her up to let her die of blood loss.
Moments before the witch died she gave all her power to the tree she was tied to. The tree glowed purple in the dark night before the light disappeared and so did the witch's body.
To this day the tree keeps the whole forest alive and healthy, giving even elders longer lives.
