It was hours before the blast. Everything was calm and quiet. No gun shots, no sirens, no screaming and crying, just birds singing and waves sitting shore.
Jade and Adam walked the beach shore, hand in hand. The two were best friends and did almost anything together, causing people to think they were a couple.
The sun was setting and the tide began to move in. If only they knew before the sun fully set, it would turn a bright green making the sky a teal-ish colour, causing havoc on Earth.
The blast hit one side of the Earth killing billions. The ones who weren't killed but were hit from the radiant blast became mutant like creatures hunting down the rest of humanity.
"Adam?" Jade spoke looking up at the taller man. He hummed in response glancing down at her before looking out at the water. "Do you ever think we can be more then just friends? I mean everyone else thinks so because they all think we are dating." She looked down at her feet.
"Jade don't think to much of it. If ur happens, it happens. Just enjoy this moment. You'll never know when our final hours on Earth are." He smiled swinging their arms a bit. "I guess your right." Jade looked at a pod of dolphins jumping out of the greenish-blue water.
Spending their greatest moment laughing together, Adam and Jade never saw the sky turn teal and the radiant blast hit. The two never died from the dealt blast but had been severely hit, turning into mutant hours later.
