Lapis? (PearlxLapis)

A real gem, never leaves

" Lapis, you will need armor," Pearl began as she wrapped up Lapis' so her side could heal faster. " I mean, just in certain areas. Just so we don't have another one of those indecents."

"I have some armor in my room." A purple cat next to Lapis said softly. Lapis jumped bumping into Pearl who slipped off the couch inside the gems house.

Pearl huffed softly. "Really Amethyst?" But the second she said that, the cat turned back into Amethyst as she bursted out with laughter.

Lapis blushed lightly looking bewteen Pearl and Amethyst. Finally her gaze settled on Pearl. " I'm so sorry..."

Pearl looked up at Lapis who was now holding a hand to help her up. "It's alright." Once Pearl was standing up again she smiled softly at Lapis. " Thank you. " After that she looked at Amethyst who was now calming down. "Do you really have armor in your room?" She crossed her arms.

"Pffft, course I do P. Who do you think I am?" She got up bouncing over to the temple door. "Well you slow pokes coming?" She turned around grinning. 

Pearl rolled her eyes. "Yes we're coming. " She looked at Lapis who smiled softly before walking over to Amethyst. Lapis followed quietly. Amethyst continued to grin as she used her gem to open the temple door to her room.

"Here we go! My little piece of paradise!" Amethyst said proudly as she walked into her room. Lapis and Pearl followed slowly. "That's my pile of junk, along with that one, and that one!" Amethyst exclaimed happily pointing to the giant piles of garbage.

"Amethyst, where's the armor?" Pearl said impatiently.

" Chill P, I'm just getting to it." Amethyst grinned slightly and began walking again. " And here, right in the middle of my piles of junk, is my pile of armor!"

Pearl frowned. "How convenient..." She muttered softly before rolling her eyes and crossing her arms eyeing the pile of armor. As if to watch to see if it was going to fall. "Well," Pearl sighed softly. "You might as well pick some out of there. I don't know where else we could get anymore." Pearl looked at Lapis as she walked over and began looking through the armor. Pearl smiled softly not noticing Amethyst sneak up next to her.

"Uh oh, I know that smile. " Amethyst said teasing slightly.

Pearl jumped blushing deeply. " Ugh Amethyst!  I have no idea what you're talking about.." She looked at Amethyst before looking back at Lapis. When she did, Lapis had some armor on. Not a lot. But enough. Pearl gasped softly. Lapis grabbed a flag from the ground holding it up.

"Imagine me in battle," Lapis said softly smiling a little holding onto the pole.

Pearl looked up at the flag and gasped softly seeing Rose's symbol. She looked back down at Lapis who seemed to be staring off into the distance imaging herself. Pearl smiled softly before she knew it there was a rumble and she was knocked off her feet. Amethyst and Lapis were knocked off their feet as well. Just on the outside they could hear Garnet banging on the door.

"Help! We're beging attacked!" Pearl and Lapis gasped softly before looking at each other.

They all scrambled up and rushed to the door. Amethyst used her gem to open it as they all dashed out and towards the front door.  But before Pearl stopped as did Lapis.

" Pearl what's wrong?" Lapis looked at Pearl worried.

"Are you sure you want to go into battle already? I mean, we haven't had a lot of training, unless you think you're ready.."

Lapis' face stayed blank for a few seconds before she grabbed Pearl's hand. "A real gem never leaves..right?"

Pearl smiled widely blushing lightly. "Right, let's do this!" With that, they dashed out the door.
