Lapis? (PearlxLapis)

The Reveal

Pearl's eyes widened as she looked at the mirror. " Repeat that again?" She thought that she was going crazy.

"I can talk." The mirror spoke. It was a soft gentle voice. But it also sounded scared, and nervous. 

Pearl was so shocked she nearly dropped the mirror.  She had no idea what to say. "W-what? How?!" She shook her head unable to process that the mirror was talking. 

The water from the fountain she was on turned a blue and it crawled up Pearl's leg. Pearl began to panic. She wanted to call out for help, but the water was going towards the mirror. Pearl began to panic more.

" Calm down." The mirror said gently. Pearl took a deep breath as she tried to calm down.  It was hard, because she still had no idea if these were left by the enemy.

Once the water got to the mirror it went to the back. Pearl furrowed wth her brows together confused. She turned the mirror around tilting her head curious.

She gasped as she saw a gem. It was in a tear drop shape, and it was blue. " Y-....Your a gem?!"

"Yes! And I need your help Pearl!"

Pearl gasped as the mirror said her name. "How do you know my name? "

" Amethyst said your name."

" And how do you know Amethyst's name?" Pearl said her mind spinning.

"You said hers." The mirror said simple sounding like it was starting to get frustrated. 

" How do I know you aren't a spy from the other side?" Pearl asked worried.

" I'm trapped in a mirror! They used me to try and find you and the gems!" The voice sounded scared and nervous. "Please!  Pearl I need your help to get me out!"

" B-but I don't think I'm strong enough to pull the gem off."

"Then ask one of the others."

" The o-others?" She froze. She couldn't.  Garnet might break her gem. Amethyst might laugh at Pearl when she told her about the mirror. So she couldn't ask them.  And that's what Pearl was going to do. "I'll do it. I'll get you out. I promise. "
