Just a real quick reminder that this is my version of how Star comes to Earth and it's different from how the show had Star come to Earth. I mean I just want Star and Marco to meet than how they did on the show is all so that's why I'm doing this differently! Ok imma shut up now so you can read my awful writing skills!☺️
"You're not going to send me to St. Olga's Reform School again are you, mother?" Star asked with a frown and a slightly upset tone in her voice. Star stood outside in the palace courtyard with the carriage pulled by manticores nearby. Star's parents stood behind her, watching the palace servants put luggage in the carriage. And, in case no one could tell, Star was not happy about having to leave her kingdom for some unknown, probably very awful, dimension.
Queen Moon and King River glanced at each other worriedly, fully knowing that before her visit to St. Olga's Star would've jumped at the chance to explore another dimension. Her father cleared his throat and replied, "Yes Star, my dear. We discussed this earlier, and so you know we are sending you to test you. To see if you indeed, as we raised you to be, fit to sit on the throne in our place one day." Her father smiled slightly at his daughter, he was proud of his daughter but of course worried about her like any normal parent. He hoped they were doing the right thing in sending her away again.
He remembered what happened the last time they thought they sent her off for her own good... He prayed that they were in the right this time...
"Of course father. I remembered. I was simply curious if I wasn't going to go back to that lovely place again." Star interrupted her father's thoughts as she spoke and she hide the evident sarcasm in her statement quite well.
"Excuse me, Your Majesties," A palace servant spoke as soon as soon as he came up to the family. He was probably about 15 and pretty handsome, with his devilish dimples, mischievous dark eyes and rich brown hair draped down the side of his face in the form of bangs. He was also carefully dressed in the black pants and starch white shirt of the servants, so anyone could tell he was the heart-breaker type. That certainly didn't stop the swooning of a few of maids in the background.
"I apologize for interrupting but I did as you asked your Highness and gave the Princess some normal 'Earth Clothes' to help her blend in if she wishes to do so." He stated with a respectful bow to the Queen. He also flashed a quick half-grin and a wink to Star and Star politely smiled demurely back, which she inwardly gagged at. "He is so not my type!" She thought as she barely controlled a disgusted face as he continued speaking to her parents. "I'd probably prefer a guy who'd at least try to be a little more more open to say what he wants to instead of a charming grin and expecting that to work on me." (Oh really now Star, is that so? *cough* hint to Star's future crush on Marco in the actual show *cough*)She thought as the servant gave Star yet another captivating grin that did nothing to interest Star in the slightest. Instead of responding she turned toward the carriage to step inside the royal coach.
Star sat down in the plush seat of the white and light blue and dull gold colored carriage being pulled by what appeared to be some sort of manticore-type creatures. She turned and looked out the window at the grand castle she dwelled on her whole life. She grinned a little when she realized how every time she looked at her home, she still got this sense of awe and power emanating from it and it always astonished her every single time.
Moon and River stood beside each other as they looked up at their daughter in the carriage. "Now Star, if you ever need any help at all, you can call us and of course you can come visit us whenever you'd like as long as you call ahead first. And you have your wand with you, correct?" Star's mother questioned her, worried and frightened for her daughter's safety and capability to defend herself if need be.
Star, on the other-hand, knew very well how to defend herself and fight since she had been baby-sat by the royal guards. "Yes mother, I do. I would never let this precious wand out of my sight." She replied with a simple nod, remembering how it was this wand that had gotten her into St. Olga's in the first place. She glared down at her wand, remembering that horrible, awful, fateful day in her past and she gripped the handle of the wand tightly. It still had not changed its appearance of vibrant purple and miniature white wings on either side of the top of the wand.
Star never could figure out why her wand didn't adjust to her new personality. That was her old self and that had changed.... So why didn't her wand..? Some things just might have to stay mysteries for now....
Her mother simply nodded as she backed up to allow the carriage to take Star away to Earth. Moon turned her head at an angle to where no one would see the tears she wanted desperately to shed as River called for Manfred to open the portal. She turned her head back again just as the back of the carriage went through and the portal closed.
She turned to River suddenly and said with evident surprise, "River! We never did give her a pair of dimension scissors! How will she come back if she needs to?" She raised her voice a good portion above its normal tone. River just shook his head and said "We'll give her some in a few weeks, my dear. For now, she needs to try to be in that dimension, as scary as that is, on. Her. Own." River said, full of concern and doubts but feeling this would be the best way for her to learn. Moon nodded as a couple of tears ran down her face and River tried to reach and wipe them away, but he was too short.
