Hey! Ok so I'm gonna loosely base this off the actually tv show! I'll be basing the next chapter off of the first episode. Not this one but the next one. Btw should I keep the whole 'King Nebula' thing in the story, cuz of 'Into The Wand'? Let me know please! Alright enjoy!😎😇😸
"Marco! Please come down here!" Marco's mother yelled up the stairs. Marco sighed and looked at the clock. The clock read 8:23. 'Hm, coulda slept in a little more.' Marco thought as he stood up and stretched his sore muscles. Sore and battered and bruised a little from boxing practice but it was fine. Marco went and brushed his teeth and gelled his hair stand up a little; it's much different from how his hair used to look like.
Marco looked at his clothes, the grey t-shirt and the red Nike shorts. 'Nah, I'll get dressed for school after I go find out what mom wants.' Marco made his way out of the light brown bathroom upstairs to the cyan blue walls of the rest of the house. 'Why the heck does mom have so many cactuses around the house??' He thought as he noticed he had passed 4 cacti in different colored pots, on his way from the bathroom upstairs to the kitchen downstairs.
"Oh Marco!" His mother cooed. "Glad you could join us for breakfast but you know you're awfully late to school mister!" His mother said sternly but with a smile. Marco's mother believed it would make Marco more responsible if he had to make himself get up and get to school on time but Marco would never do that. Never. All Marco cared about was his precious and carefully-built reputation. Well, he cared about his family, but they weren't close anymore so it's hard to love someone you're not close to.
"Come Marco. Come eat some pancakes and we could sit and talk for a little while." Marco's father piped up from the table, reading the newspaper.
Marco shook his head and turned on his good-boy act. "Sorry mom and dad, I can't be anymore late today. I need to get to school, like, right now. Sorry." Marco threw in a charming grin, to make it actually believable.
Marco's mother sighed and nodded understandingly and replied, "Okay, honey, please be carful on your way to school!" She called after him as Marco went to his room to change.
Marco stepped around the precariously stacked up laundry that he keeps forgetting to put in his clothes drawers. Marco picked up a dark grey t-shirt with Imagine Dragons on it up off the floor and smelled it. 'Smells decent.' He thought before taking off the shirt he was wearing and put on the Imagine Dragons t-shirt. He managed to find some clean black jeans and he put those on and grabbed his signature red leather jacket. (*coughs* in the pic above *coughs more*) Marco slid on his red converse and pounded down the stairs but not before checking if his hair was decent.
"Have a good day, Marco!" His mom called from the kitchen sink, doing the dishes.
"Yeah, thanks mom!" He called back, acting like a good kid around her.
Marco's mother quickly walked into the foyer to say goodbye to her son. She gave him a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek and said, "Be good today Marco, I love you." She smiled at him as she straightened his jacket.
Marco nodded, glad he hadn't made it outside to let other kids see that. "Love you too mom. I gotta get going so I'll see ya after school and boxing practice, okay?" Marco said as he turned to the door. Mrs. Diaz replied "Okay honey, I'll see you then! But before you go..." His mother started and Marco turned around impatiently. "Don't forget that that family might be dropping off their daughter to stay with us at anytime during this week so try to be welcoming if you see them." Mrs. Diaz said.
Marco waved his hand, as if dismissing the thought and walked to the door while saying, "Yeah yeah mom, I'll remember. Now I gotta go, love ya! Bye!" Marco yelled as he got farther away from the house to school.
Marco headed to the direction until his house was out of sight. Marco then took a right to a big back-alley, where he normally met with his friends before school.
"Aaayyyee Marco!" Janna suddenly appeared behind him and yelled. Marco flinched a little but resisted the urge to scream. Janna always did that but it nearly got him every time. Marco turned around with a lopsided grin and said with a chuckle, "Nice try Janna but not even close!"
"Aw Marco! You know I scared ya! No need to hide it from me." She replied, returning the sarcastic grin. You see, Janna is one of his closest friends and always beats Marco to the meeting place.
"Aw I missed Marco gettin' the crap scared outa him? Dang it." Oskar walked in with his hands in his jeans pockets and slight swagger in his steps.
"Hardy har har you guys," Marco said with a roll of his eyes. "Now, where's.." Marco got cut off by a loud but beautiful (to him) voice.
"I'm here!" Jackie yelled. Everyone turned to her and smiled, glad everyone was there.
"There you are ya scrub!" Oskar remarked while patting Jackie's head playfully. Jackie hit his hand away and laughed. Janna laughed too and so did Marco but, on the inside, his blood boiled at the thought of someone else toughing HIS Jackie.
Everyone there was wearing their leather jackets that day, like everyday. Janna wore a light blue leather jacket with a swampy green shirt and her normal yellow skirt with brown leather boots. And of course her beanie.
Oskar was the one who wore his leather jacket the least because it 'interfered with his music' or something. Oskar was the type of bad-boy that any girl would fall for. With his green eyes and good attitude but bad behavior, he had just about had his pick for any girl at the school.
Then there was Jackie. The reason Marco dreamed at night. Jackie was your pretty, beach-y girl. She had a cool blue streak in her hair and wore a sea-green leather jacket with her shorts and almost knee-high socks with her light blue-green vans. She, of course, still wore that necklace with the seashell dangling from it all the time. No one ever could figure out why. But for Marco, he imagined that it was from her grandma or something and she wore it to honor her.
Marco didn't realize he was staring at Jackie silently until Janna jumped in his face and yelled, "MARCO QUIT STARING AT YOUR LOVER-GIRL AND GET YOUR BUTT MOVIN TO SCHOOL!!!"
Marco stepped back while blushing madly, desperately wishing Janna hadn't said that so loud to where it was impossible NOT to hear it. Marco shook his head and laughed, thinking of a quick lie and replied "Oh please! I was just looking at the spider over her shoulder and wondered whether to tell her or not!" He laughed, a tiny bit of pink still prevalent on his face. Oskar raised an eyebrow and Janna crossed her arms and gave Marco a look while Jackie starting quietly freaking out, not able to see the spider anywhere.
Oskar rolled his eyes, fully knowing that Marco had the biggest crush on Jackie, and checked his phone for the time. The clock said 9:27 and Oskar said "Hey guys, it's 9:27 shouldn't we get goin'?"
Marco nodded and replied, "Yep, we should. I'll see you guys at lunch then, yeah?" Marco asked as he turned to walk with Janna.
Jackie smiled sweetly and replied, "Yup! We'll see y'all at lunch!" Jackie and Oskar walked to school together and Janna and Marco walked to school together, though Marco would kill to trade places with Oskar.
"Yo dude, you gotta tell her soon Marco." Janna stated while looking at the sidewalk in front of her. Marco glared at her for a second before sighing, 'As much I don't wanna say it, she's right. I gotta tell Jackie at some point.' He thought.
Marco just grunted to show he had heard her. Marco and Janna walked for a good few minutes before catching sight of Echo Creek Academy. Marco groaned dramatically and Janna smirked, trying not to laugh and groan as well.
"Well Marco, I gotta be going. I missed math now I gotta go to science. We're watching a video today so not much learnin' in there today." She announced with a smile. Marco knew that Janna actually like science but Janna didn't like liking anything about school so he never pressured her to say differently.
Marco nodded and smirked and said, "I missed math too, now I gotta go to ELA. Mr. Breach would kill me if I'm late for his class. I'll see ya at lunch Janna." Marco yelled as he walked toward room 515. He walked into class with a charming grin on his face, actually early to Mr. Breach's class.
"Marco Diaz? Come here please." Mr. Breach said, not even looking up from his stack of papers.
Marco walked to his desk and asked, "What is it, Mr. Breach?" Marco said this without a hint of disrespect. Marco treated his teachers kindly... When no one else was there that is.
Mr. Breach grabbed a paper and handed it to Marco and said, "Here's your essay. I marked all the things you needed to correct on there." Mr. Breach said simply, still refusing to look up as he graded papers.
"Thanks Mr. Breach." Marco said as he strolled to his desk near the back of the class. Marco plopped down in his desk as other students filed in. Marco skimmed over his essay and gave the tiniest of smiles. He actually had very few mistakes on his essay. Marco was actually a pretty good student, but around other students, he acted like an over-confident, popular bad-boy. In reality, he was a good student and when left alone with adults and no peers around, he's very polite and respectful. But because he always had schoolmates around, he was always disrespectful and rude.
Oskar nodded to Marco and Marco smirked as Oskar took his seat in the front of the classroom. There was an empty seat next to Oskar that no one took. Usually girls scrambled to try and sit next to him but no one did today.
Mr. Breach stood up, looking tired. Mr. Breach rubbed his thick, white hair that was cropped short with his hand. Mr. Breach adjusted his glasses and announced with a sleepy sigh, "Today, we will be watching a video..." The class cheered. "QUIET! I wasn't done," The class shut up and Marco rolled his eyes, having not even made a sound. "We will be watching a movie actually. Well, a part of it, but it is a movie based off of the book we will start reading tomorrow. We were going to read it today but, as you can tell, I'm exhausted and I'll sleep a while during the movie while I give you all some notes to fill out as you watch the movie." Mr. Breach finished and walked to his desk and turned on the movie.
Marco smiled. Mr. Breach was his favorite teacher because Mr. Breach was the type of teacher who used videos a lot. The movie flickered on the Smart-Board and the lights turned off. The movie started as everyone had gotten their notes to fill out. Mr. Breach fell asleep as everyone looked at the notes. Marco sighed, bored but liked how the movie started. It was called 'The Giver' and it seemed really good, and if the movie was good for Marco then Marco would absolutely love the book. Marco leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes, glad at how the day had started. There we are!! I finally updated!! Now for the next chapters, Marco's POV won't happen very often cuz I doesn't happen much in the actual show but that doesn't mean it won't ever happen on surprise occasions😉 Alright hope ya like it! Byeeeeee!!🤗😸
