Snowbarry: Chapter Four

Hostages

It was four in the afternoon on a Friday evening and while Caitlin was working Barry had the three children in his lab like most days. The day was pretty normal until three heavily armed men burst in. Luckily, the three children were sitting close by so Barry could protect them, he picked up the younger two and Natalie stood behind him, hugging his legs in fear. Two of the men approached them and forced them out of the room while the other shot the security cameras, making two-year-old Henry cry.

A few minutes later, the four of them were sitting in the main room with all the other hostages, including Joe. Henry had stopped crying and all three of the children were hugging Barry. Everyone in the room thought The Flash would save them but what they didn't know is that The Flash was in the room. Hopefully, Caitlin would save them. The building was completely flooded with armed men. At least thirty. There was no escape and they couldn't use their powers because then they'd be found out.

Meanwhile, Caitlin was sitting in STAR labs analysing some DNA strands when the news came on.

"Emergency  News Broadcast: CCPD has been infiltrated by a large group of armed men. many hostages are trapped inside, The Flash and FROST are nowhere to be found. Hopefully, help will come, for the unfortunates trapped inside. So far no casualties have been reported. Maybe The Flash and FROST will return. More news from this story later on,"

Immediately, Caitlin realised that Barry and their children were there. She quickly put on her suit and flew her way there.

Back at CCPD, things had gotten worse. The men were getting restless and bored. One of the men approached the family and tried to take Natalie away.

"Get away from my daughter!"

Natalie started to cry because the armed guy wouldn't let her go. Then the there was a loud crash of glass and a figure entered the room from the roof. Caitlin.

"Let her go!" FROST shouted, freezing the guy and sending a quick, are you okay? glance to Barry. He nodded and she continued to freeze all the other armed men till they were all frozen statues. After taking them out, she helped all the others get out until she was alone with her family. Taking off her mask, she ran towards the kids and hugged them before kissing her husband.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"We're fine. We really need to think of a better place to look after the kids,"

A Few Hours Later

"Thank God, you're okay. I can't lose you again," Caitlin said. They were back at their house and the kids were asleep after their traumatic day, the couple were cuddled up on the sofa.

"I'm not going anywhere,"

"Yeah, but that was close. Too close..." she was interrupted by a kiss.

"How can I make it up to you?"

"Just keep doing that and we'll be just fine," she mumbled, before being picked up and carried to their bedroom...
