A few months had passed and while the team had been trying to save Caitlin, she was adamant that the way to save her was to take down Savitar. However, Caitlin's powers had been going particularly erratic recently because of her fear of becoming Killer Frost again. She had hurt Barry as her once and she didn't want to that ever again. Who would be next? Cisco, their children? She shuddered at the thought.

Even as Killer Frost, she knew that she couldn't hurt them. At least she thought she couldn't. She was scared and her powers were going completely out of wack because of it.

"Cait, honey, are you all right?" Barry asked softly, sitting beside her.

"I'm fine!" she snapped, slamming her hands on the desk ice shooting onto it making him jump. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it, sweetheart. It's just..."

"I know. We will fix this, I promise. You won't become her and I won't let you die either," he reassured and she smiled and leaned in for a kiss.

She didn't notice at first but she felt Barry struggling and she opened her eyes and saw that she was freezing him with her kiss. "Oh come on, I can't even kiss you now," she complained, tears welling in her eyes. Why did she have these stupid powers? Why couldn't she get rid of them? Why were they taking complete control of her life? All valid questions that she did not have the answers too.

"It's okay. We really need to find a way to temporarily get rid of them until we defeat Savitar and we can figure out how to fix them. I still need you in the field with me. We're at team,"

"I know we will," she smiled, wanting to kiss him again but knew that it would hurt him and she didn't want that. Instead, Barry kissed her cheek and stroked the other cheeks with the back of his hand.

"Mommy, daddy!" Natalie called out fro her parents from where she and Nora were playing on the cortex floor, luckily not seeing their mother's Killer Frost episode. Henry was also playing too with some building blocks and his teddy bear.

Natalie and Nora also had their teddy bears clutched under their arms as they had a tea party. Well, a pretend one.

"Hey there, sweethearts, what are you two up to?" Caitlin asked with a smile, kneeling down beside the two girls, pinching each of their noses making them both giggle. Barry picked Henry up and sat beside Caitlin with Henry on his lap.

"We made tea!" the two girls squealed in delight. They were a little too excitable but it was adorable to see them so happy.

Two-year-old Nora pinched her little brother's nose just as her mother had done to her and her older sister only a few moments ago making him giggle.

"Okay, can I have some tea?" Caitlin asked and Natalie nodded and passed her a teacup. Caitlin rested her head on her husband's shoulder and smiled up at him reflecting on the life they had together. The family they had created. A family that had started with just the two of them and now they had made three wonderful children together.

"I love you," she mouthed.

"I love you too," he whispered, kissing the top of her head.

...

A week passed and Barry and Caitlin had had another Killer Frost incident. This time she had almost killed him again and once again felt awful. She couldn't imagine life without him and couldn't believe that even when she was evil she was capable of hurting the man she loved and the love of her life.

"Caitlin, I made this for you. It's a necklace I don't know what else to try," Cisco stated, handing her the necklace and she put it on. "You won't be able to use your powers at all with it on but it should stop them for as long as you are wearing it,"

Caitlin nodded and looked towards Barry. "I guess there is only one way to test it works without using my powers," she stated, he nodded and they leaned in for a kiss. The first real kiss they had shared in a week and it seemed long overdue and they had both missed being able to express their love.

Luckily, the necklace worked and for the first time in years Caitlin's lips felt warm rather than cold, it was a feeling that Barry hadn't felt in a while. He had actually missed warmer kisses.

"It works," Caitlin smiled, kissing him over and over again to make up for the lost time.

"Okay, well I'm going to go before I become the third wheel all over again," Cisco replied, leaving the room.

"At least, I can't hurt you again," she sighed, cuddling up to him, they heads leaning against each other.

"I am fine and now you are too. Now we can focus on taking down Savitar and saving you," Barry replied.

"I told you. What if I am meant to die? I died in the other timeline and now I am going to die again. It can't just be a coincidence. There is an obvious link that we can't ignore. Maybe this is where my life is supposed to end?"

"Don't say that. You know, I can't live without you. Natalia, Nora, and Henry need you. They need their mom. I need you. You are my wife, my bets friend, my soulmate. I can't lose you. All these villains are only targeting you because they know how much you mean to me and how much I love you. That is the only connection I see. And as your husband, it is my job to keep you safe. That is a part of our marriage vows, and I promised to uphold those vows forever, I'm not losing you, Cait. You are going to be safe and you are not going anywhere," Barry reassured.

Caitlin wrapped her arms around him and they held each other for many minutes in complete silence, comforting ecah other without words. Knowing that they would be okay.
