Snowbarry: Chapter Four

Killer Frost

A few hours had passed, since their encounter with Savitar and Barry had recovered but Caitlin had not. The experience had terrified her much like the other life or death experiences they had encountered before but this felt different.

Natalie, Nora and Henry were playing in the cortex. Well, they were playing with their powers as it seemed to be so fun for them.

A part of Caitlin wished, that she didn't have her powers. That Barry didn't have these powers. That their children didn't have these powers. They could never live a normal family life. And although they survived this time, it may not be this way forever.

Perhaps this was all in her head. Maybe she shouldn't have touched that stone. Then Alchemy wouldn't have gotten away.

In that moment her whole body went cold and her eyes went icy blue. Sneakily she left STAR labs and went to CCPD where Joe and one of Savitar's followers were.

"Hey Caitlin, what are you doing here?" Joe asked.

"Wally's out of the cocoon," she replied.

"A simple phone call would've been fine," Joe said, then he hurried off. 

With a smirk, Caitlin went inside the interrogation room and froze the door handle then created an icy fog in the room so the camera wouldn't know it was her.

After interrogating, Savitar's follower, she left but was stopped by one of the other CSI's, Julian Albert.

"You are Allen's wife. What are you doing here?" he asked then he saw the ice on the door.

"You are going to help me," she snarled, her eyes icing over again and she created ice with her hands.

Meanwhile, Barry was starting to worry about his wife as she had left without letting him know where she was.

"I thought Wally was awake?" Joe questioned as he saw the cocoon still fully intact as he entered the room.

"No, who told you that?" Barry replied.

"Caitlin. She came to the station..." then Barry zoomed off before he could finish his sentence.

Barry walked into CCPD and saw one of the detectives by a computer screen reviewing some CCTV footage. "What happened?"

"A woman. She broke in and took Julian Albert hostage. Her powers are an awful lot like Frost's," the detective replied.

Barry watched the footage and although he couldn't see her face he knew that it was Caitlin. "What are you doing, Cait?" he whispered under his breath then left to go back to STAR labs.

"I tracked her the same way I tracked Captain Cold's cold gun and I think I found her," Cisco stated, bringing up the feed from a warehouse, and there she was with Julian. "You know she may not..." Barry zoomed off. "Want to see you," Cisco finished, looking down at the three children that were playing on the floor.

"Get out of here," Caitlin said, her eyes going back to the perfect hazel he had always adored.

"Stop, Cait. You don't want to do this. You don't want to hurt anybody, we can figure this out together. We can help you but please come home," Barry pleaded.

"She's dangerous, knock her out. Knock her out!" Julian shouted. Instead, Barry hit him and he flew across the room and landed at the foot of the desk.

"You don't understand. I need to find Alchemy," she replied.

"We'll get him, together," he assured.
