Chapter 23

I was on the plane on my way to Canada to pick up Kelly. I haven't seen her in like 2 months. I wonder how our baby is?

When I got off the plane in Canada with Ethan by my side we look around for someone we knew. Either Kelly or Shawn will be waiting for us. After about 20 minutes of looking around I finale see my soon to be bride. She looked amazing. She may look weak but she looks amazing. Once her eyes meet mine she starts to sprint towards me. I drop my bags and she jumps into my arms wrapping her legs around my waist.

"Grayson!" She said with tears sliding down her cheeks.

I held her in my arms as I attack her face with kisses. "I've missed you baby!"

Kelly coughs as she cries. She needs to calm down.

"Babe you need to calm down and breath." I set her down brushing her hair out of her face.

She just kept coughing as she held her stomach.

*Kelly's Pov*

I felt my stomach tighten and shut down. I try to breath through the pain but the air got caught in my throat. I feel like throwing up. I cover my mouth as I cough and try to breath. I felt something warm against my hand so I remove it from my mouth and stare at the liquid. I started to feel dizzy and my stomach started to hurt even more. My legs started to shake and I felt my knees collapse under me.

*Ethan's Pov*

"Grayson!" I yell for my brother as I see Kelly with blood on her hand that she coughed up.

Kelly's knees gave out and she headed for the ground. Luckily Grayson noticed fast enough and caught her. Everyone at the airport surrounds us.

"Kelly!" Grayson held her on the ground. "Ethan call 911 and Shawn!" Grayson chocked on his tears.

*Kelly's Pov*

I hear faint voices around me. I hear Grayson, Ethan, who I think is on the phone with someone, and random people.

"Everyone back up!" I hear another faint voice.

I feel my body being lifted and set down on something soft.

"Kelly?" I hear a voice.

My vision is blurry so it's hard to see. I see light in my eyes causing me to blink fast clearing my vision some.

"We have to hurry!" I noticed a guy in a blue suit. Paramedic maybe?

I feel my head go side to side as I'm being carried into a white van. My hands rest on my little baby bump as I look up at the sky. I feel sweat trickle down my cheek, no a tear. Why a tear.

"Is she pregnant?" I hear the same guy

"Yes about 3-4 months." I hear Ethan.

"She has c-cancer." Grayson chokes.

I hear doors shut as I get put into the van. Ambulance actually.

"Babe stay with us." I feel them clean the blood off my hands and mouth.

I felt another sharp pain in my lower stomach making me cough up blood again. The slightly press on my stomach and feel around it.

"Is she taking chemo?" The guy asks Grayson or Ethan.

"She wouldn't take it. It could harm the baby." Grayson interlocks his fingers with mine. His hands are so warm. I'm so cold.

The sirens of the ambulance give me a headache which makes me whine in pain. I felt pain in my ribs and it's unbearable. I couldn't help but let out another cry.

"We think the cancer might be spreading!" The ambulance comes to halt and I felt the cold air hit me as they open the door.

They pull me out and place a blanket it over me. The roll me into the hospital with the twins behind me.

"Kelly!" Shawn?

"Shawn.." I whisper chocking on more blood.

I lean over the stretcher and threw up blood all over the floor.

"Hang in there babe." I hear a girl nurse.

I get moved from my stretcher to a bed. I started coughing again this time harder then before. It was harder to breath. I took one last deep breath and closed my eyes.

*Grayson's Pov*

I watched Kelly behind the closed doors. They were pushing on her chest. Oh no.

"Clear!" I hear.

They press to medal plates on her bare chest. Her chest shots up and slowly back down.

"Clear!" They aren't giving up just yet.

After they shocked her one more time the straight line of the monitor went into a zig zage.

"Thank god." I let out the breath i realized I was holding.

I look over at Shawn and Ethan who are sitting down. Ethan is trying to calm crying Shawn down. The doctor comes out of the room where the handling Kelly.

"Mendes?" He calls out looking up from his clip board which had blood stains from Kelly.

"Yes?" I say

"Are you here brother?" He asked me

"I'm gonna be her husband." I gulp

"Is her family here?" He raised an eyebrow at me. 

"Shawn?" I look at him.

Shawn stands up and jogs over to me with Ethan. "Is she okay?" He sniffed

"Kelly Cancer had spreader down to her lungs. She..only has time left." He gave us a serious look

"She's gonna.." Shawn couldn't bare the thought of his younger sister dieing.

"I believe so. Hopefully before she passes on your daughter will be grown enough to be taken out. She will most likely be very early though." 

"Hold on. Daughter?" I stop him.

"You didn't know?" He gives me a questionable look

"No. I've been on tour." I look at Shawn who held his hands up in defense.

"I didn't know either." Shawn says

"How long do you think she'll last?" Ethan asks slowly

"Maybe a month.." The doctor sighs. "Try to make the most of it." He started to walk away.

"Month.." I repeat to myself out loud. "Daughter." I look at the other two boys

"Chloe.." Ethan says

"Chloe?" I look at him confused

"I knew it was a girl. She wanted to surprise you Grayson. She didn't get a chance to tell Shawn though." Ethan looks guilty.

"Chloe though?" I was still lost

"That's what she wanted to name her, but now I don't think she'll even get to hold her.." Ethan sniffs

"Chloe..I love it." I look back through the window.

Kelly had a tube connected to her nose to help her breath. She had an IV running into her arm to stop the pain, her lips slightly parted taking deep breaths, and her eye lids covering her dull blue eyes.

"She's gonna die..." Shawn whispered to me.
