Chapter 24

A month has gone by and Kelly has gotten weaker. She has died at least twice. They brought her back. We may not be so lucky next time. Today even though Kelly is only about 5 months pregnant they're gonna take Chloe. The problem is is that Kelly's body is shutting done. Its not keeping Chloe healthy.

"It's gonna be okay." Ethan rubs my back.

Chloe only has a 45% of living since she's so early. If she lives she's gonna be in the hospital for a while.

"Kelly and Chloe are fighters. " Shawn smiles a little

"Fighters grow weaker over time." I sigh placing my hands over my face.

"Dolan?" The doctor walks into the waiting room and we all stand.

"Is she okay?" Matt asks.

"I need the father and the brother also mother and father."

"Out parents are in England fot vacation with my younger sister. Its just me." Shawn and I walk up to him.

"Alright. Wanna come meet Chloe?" He smiles a little.

The boys behind us started cheering! She lived!

"Chloe lived!" I felt tears of joy.

"We think she might. Congratulations." The doctor shakes my hand.

"What about Kelly?" Carter says behind us.

"I think..I think it's best to say goodbye.. I'm very sorry.-" The doctor leads us to her room.

Kelly is holding Chloe with her skinny arms. She has tears running down her face. Chloe has a tube in her nose helping her breath since her lungs aren't fully developed.

"Kelly?" I whisper.

"Take her." she says almost breathless.

I grab my new daughter and hold her head. She's so small.

"She's so small.." I whisper.

The boys and I gather around Kelly. She is breathing heavy.

"Boys." She gulps. "I love you all." She began to cry softly.

"Babe don't cry. We can do this we can fight." I sat next to her.

"Gray. Oh Gray. " She places her cold small hand on my cheek. "I can't." she lowers her hand.

"Don't say goodbye not yet." Nash sniffs.

"Goodbye?" Kelly softly chuckles.

"Goodbye isn't forever." She looks around.

"Yes it does!" Shawn is tearing his hair out.

"It simply means.. I'll see you in a better time. I know it is gonna be a hard last memory but you guys can get through it." she coughs.

"Kelly.." Jack G sighs.

"Tell her stories. All of you." She closes her eyes.

"We promise. " Jacob says.

"Remember. Goodbye isn't forever. " She gives us one last smile.

Kelly closes her eyes and her smile fads. The line now is straight. She's gone.

"Kel-ly? " Shawn chokes.

"Shawn im so sorry. " Jack J puts an arm around his shoulder comforting him.

"She's gone.." I was shocked

"Forever." Daniel says

"Not forever. Just for a little." Taylor remembers her words.

"Goodbye isn't forever." i repeat to myself. "Goodbye isn't forever."
