Chances (A One Direction Fanfic)

Prologue

            Catherine, or Cat, is a junior in high school trying to survive her last two years before she can get away from this town with her two best friends, Paige and Jane. Catherine is funny and carefree with her friends, but shy when it comes to talking to crowds of people. Catherine, however, loves to go out and have a good time. Get a few drinks in her and she will talk to anyone. She loves music and poetry. One of her favorite bands is One Direction. Her favorite band member is Harry Styles.

            Paige was always the good girl. She did her homework the week before it was due and studied extra hard for everything. She was a straight A student. Shy, but sassy is Paige. She also loves music and writing. Her favorite band is One Direction. Her favorite member is Louis Tomlinson.

            Jane was always the bad girl. She had a secret tattoo that her parents didn’t know about. She got wasted almost every weekend. She has had her share of boyfriends and wild nights that she always brags about. She was never good at school, but her writing was exceptional. She also had a great voice, not that anyone would know. She was outgoing and loud about everything except for her music, which only her best friends Catherine and Paige knew about. Just by looking at her, you would think that she would be into heavy metal and punk rock, but really, she loved One Direction. Her favorite band member is Zayn Malik.

            Lastly, we have Veronica. Veronica is the biggest bitch of them all. Not only is she rude, but she is deceptive and sly. When she wants something she goes out of her way to get it and will stop at nothing until it’s hers. That policy goes with anything from clothes to boys. She seems sweet, but she’s one to be careful around. Unfortunately, she loves One Direction too. Unfortunately for Niall, she loves him and will do whatever it takes to get his attention.

            This is a story about how the quiet bookworm, Catherine, comes face to face with her favorite celebrity, the one who saved her on the rainy days and the dark times. His smiled lit up her world and brightened her day. When she meets him at a show, that’s when hers and Harry’s world is changed. What will happen as they both find themselves falling for each other, when they know it could never work? Will Harry be willing to take a chance?
