I Wish

Prologue

Reading the book for the hundredth and tenth time made me memorize every word it had in its pages. Having a colossal library was supposed to free me from my boredom, but the longer I spent in here the worst my boredom gets

Stretching my limbs I yawned loudly, not caring if it was a library since there's no librarian to shush me. I don't even have anyone in here to be with. I'm the only one walking around this place

Stepping on the balcony, my eyes viewed the sand and palm trees below with a sparkling river flowing calmly. Looking up to the sky, it was just the same sight as last time. The mix of different hues of blue, violet, purple and indigo. With blinking white dots scattering around in different swirls and spirals

Some of the dots were brighter than the others and had a line connecting it to another bright dot. All in all the sky was a field of stars and different constellations

Even this once beautiful scenery can't save me from this boredom I have after returning to this place. But it's not like I dislike it. Its the only place I can return to. The only place I ever known as a home ever since I knew my existence in this world

Its been a long time since the last time I was outside. It was just the same as any other times. Same words, same commands, same ending. I go back home and they get their endings without me witnessing the rest of it

Feeling a yawn coming I went to the highest tower of my temple where my bedroom is. Brushing my long blue locks as I face my body mirror I look at my reflection as if searching for any difference. But I was soon disturbed as the golden bracelets around my wrists started to glow, signaling me that it was time, again

As the light from the bracelets over took me I dropped the brush and closed my eyes. My body soon turned into blue smoke, swiveling towards the sky. As I was now outside of my home, I can recognize the foreign smell of the salty seas and different voices unique to one another

"Who are you?"

I turned to the new voice. Seeing my home was in their grasp I bowed my head with no hesitation to the stranger that I will soon serve

"I have no name. But you may know me as your loyal servant. And you are my new master" I said in a tone I used many times, and the words I repeated every moment it happens

"What are you?"

"I'm a Genie"
