A year passed and Kaiyo thought everything was supposed to be the same, until Roger said he wanted to make an announcement"Kaiyo, come here" he beckoned. She glanced first to her friends and quickly took a step closer to the captain with questions in her mind, but she finally came to a conclusion when the captain took out the lamp from his cape and emptied the water. When the lamp was empty again, her human legs turned into a trail of blue mist that replaces her lower body
"So you finally made a wish?"she asked in a lifeless voice. She knew this would've happen, it was inevitable. She shouldn't have had her hopes up. But its nothing that she'd cry for. She knows its useless to cry
"What is it that you wish? .... Master" she wonders if the two cabin boys really were her friends and weren't just acting to be nice to her. Looking at the situation, they don't seem to budge from their spot to defend her or stop the captain from making his wish. She didn't even took the effort to glance at the other's expression, she's sure they're all the same
"My wish..." As promised, she will only grant one wish from this man and she'll return to her lamp. Its what the master wanted and she couldn't avoid it
" .... is that you Kaiyo the Genie of the lamp that I, Gol D. Roger hold .... " Her head shot up with her blue orbs full of surprise " .... to live freely who you want to be!!"
With that loud declaration, the golden bracelets started to glow brightly that it blinds the crew and the wearer herself. When the light finally died down, Kaiyo slowly opened her eyes to see the pairs of accessory that detained her like unbreakable chains was no longer around her wrists
"Eh? Why are you crying? Did I made a mistake?" she heard sounds of a paper being ruffled and saw the captain scanning a piece of paper with something written on it, but she cannot decipher what his been asking. But when she felt something wet was coming from her eyes, it made her knees feel weak and she slumped on the floor
"Oi Rayleigh, you said this was the right things to say but why is she crying?!" The captain yelled to his first mate who chuckled at his simple-minded friend
"Why don't you ask her yourself captain?" he cocked his head as the two cabin boys rush over to the still crying girl but was stopped when she tries to stand up, using the railings as support
"W-why did you... wish me free?"
"Well.. it wasn't just me" it was his time to cock his head to the other crew members, whom all grinned at her with warm smiles ".. we all wanted you to be free, so that you can live as you want to be" he gently patted her head, but was surprised when the girl hugged him while muffling something only he was able to hear

That night they all celebrated for Kaiyo has now graduated from being a cabin girl/genie into a pirate. Shanks and Buggy thought it was unfair because they're still titled as cabin boys only, but easily forgot it when the captain told them to host the party, which they are honored to do so
When it came to the point that almost all of the crew were drunk, she sighed thinking how she's going to transfer them to their rooms. But then it came to her. The captain didn't exactly wish for her to be no longer a genie, so maybe her magic still works
She tries to snap her fingers like she used to do when granting a wish, but nothing happened. Staring at the unconscious men on deck, she sighed but her attention went to the sottish redhead who was still able to keep his ground
"Oh Hey! Kaiyo! Have a-"
"No thank you" she deadpanned but his smile never faltered as he gulped the last drop of his sake
