(Isaias' POV)
"You look restless," Vito grabs the chair across my desk and frowned at me. I didn't bother looking at him as I stared at the monitor of the computer mindlessly. "Is it about that Angel? You kind of remind me of Giovanni when he was still crazy about Enna, not that he isn't anymore," Vito chuckled, and I shot him a scowl.
I let out a struggled sighed. Vito chuckled shaking his head. "I don't know how am I gonna ask her without looking like a desperate dick, if she receives the flowers or if she likes them?" I unconsciously spewed out. Vito's eyes widening, his lips curled up in an annoying grin, and I look away, not wanting to see him enjoying my misery.
"Well, well, well ..." he chuckled annoyingly.
"Shut up, Vito!" I snapped at him with a gruff, but he just brushes it off.
"There are what we call calling, texting, or emailing," Vito quipped wittily, and I shot him a grim look, but as his words sunk in my head, my scowl fading.
"Calling," I groaned, shaking my head in disapproval. "I don't know if I can control my emotion, not to stutter like a stupid fool. I almost look like an idiot in front of her this afternoon, no?" I grunted frustratedly.
I don't know her email address so I can't send her an email either, but I do know her number since I asked Cynthia, the Asian staff.
"Texting?" Vito suggested shrugging his shoulders, and I looked at him, nodding slowly. It feels like my head just lit up.
"Si, that might work," I agreed, and without further ado, I grab my phone sitting beside the computer desktop.
I started tapping and groaned as I kept of missing the letters.
Did you lil—
"This is fucking frustrating," I hissed as I furiously tap the cross button to erase the l, and then tap it in the right characters. It took me probably five minutes to formed the five words correctly. I heard Vito's annoying chuckles, but I ignored him as I focus on the matter at hand.
I read it again to make sure it was right.
Did you like the flowers?
I quickly tap send before I will change my mind. Perhaps just wait for her to contact me, but then again, probably she won't ever call.
"Easy as a pie, right?" Vito grinned teasingly. I put the phone down and threw him a hard scowl, but he just chuckled again, shaking his head incredulously. "I wish you'll just accept it that you finally found her, just like Giovanni than lying to yourself," Vito mused as he threw me a serious gaze.
I was about to retort when I heard my phone beeps, and my heart quickens as I quickly opened the messages. I unconsciously smiled as I read her text, missing the wicked grin of Vito.
Yes, they are beautiful. Thank you. =)
The last characters had my eyebrows furrowed. I unconsciously burst out laughing, thinking how in the hell I was thinking she is innocent, but I've seen and felt it.
She's something, I thought as I shook my head in disbelief. I felt something funny in my stomach, like butterflies floating around my belly.
Weird.
I texted her back, groaning and grunting occasionally whenever I missed the letters, tapping the cross button often times than getting the right letters, and I felt the growing frustrations increasing.
Finally, after like hours of tapping, I pressed send. I ran the words with my eyes, my eyebrows increasingly furrowing as I realized that I texted her my frustrations of texting.
