Angel
"This isn't fun anymore, Rose!" Tristan cried out in exasperation as he swung the passenger's door open and stalked towards the front of the car and scanned the new damages. I gulped thickly as I watched his face hardened then his hand furiously swiped across his disgruntled face, then he stared at the car bumpers and shook his head with a resigned look.
I bit my inner cheek as I slowly slid out of the driver's seat and walked tentatively closer to him. My eyes widened when I saw the bumper sagging. It came off its hinges after I went over the curb stopper. I was supposed to park it, but my estimation was very poor.
"I'm sorry," I murmured as I bit my bottom lip, feeling so guilty for forcing him to teach me.
Tristan's jaws tightened as he stared at me pointedly for a moment, then he let out a long lungful of air before his hard gaze softened and then nodded slowly, defeatedly.
"Isaias has a lot of securities to drive you anywhere you want to go, you don't have to drive by yourself, Rose." He clamped his jaw tight as he fought his face to remain soft, but his eyes betrayed him.
Tristan was very careful with his words, but I was too stubborn. I want to drive, just like Enna. She can go wherever she wants to go, whenever she wants to. I like that. That freedom. But Isaias, Tristan, Vito, and Gio just doesn't understand that.
I was too preoccupied with my thoughts, my eyes obliviously turning sharp.
"Alright," Tristan sighed, then motioned me to get back in the car. "When I said stop, you have to listen. Whatever I tell you, you have to follow it, Rose. Otherwise, ask someone to help you."
I nodded my head furiously as I shuffled back inside the car.
I tried to concentrate on his instruction. After that accident, I think I've mastered parking.
After another hour driving, I think I could already race with the other drivers on the road. I quickly drove to my wedding planner. I'm already half an hour late.
As soon as I parked the car behind the two-story building of the Wedding Wonders, I quickly slid out of the driver's seat, took my purse in the back, then bid goodbye to Tristan and walked away without so much a glance.
"Am I picking you up?" Tristan asked causing me to come to an abrupt halt.
I turned to face him and shook my head, beaming brightly at him. Isaias is back tonight from Italy and will be picking me up. He promised to take me to a dinner tonight.
"Isaias will take me on a dinner date," I giddily said. I couldn't hide the overwhelming excitement flowing within me as I thought of him. I haven't seen him for a week now. His father needed him since he was hospitalized after he had a mild stroke. He has to take over the company earlier than it is expected, and he seemed to be okay with that.
My eyes instinctively dropped to my ring finger, and the ring sparkled brightly, seemingly telling me and to anyone who sees it that it cost millions.
He muttered some incoherent words under his breath causing me to tear my eyes off the ring and back to him, he gave me a tight smile. "Okay. See you at your wedding, Rose!"
I waved at him as he pulled out of the parking lot, then drove off. I quickly turned on my heel and strode hastily towards the entrance door.
.....
Isaias
I rubbed my eyes as I let out a frustrated sigh. My head hurts from staring at the numbers on the accounting book. I was trying to concentrate, learn the cash flows of every D'Antonio's company, but today, all I could see is Angel's face over those numbers.
