The old wolf took a deep breath and let her fur flatten. Blue was trembling. What had set the wolf off? And how did she know about her father? “My sincerest apologies,” the wolf said flatly. “Let's just say I know what you're going through.” Blue stared at her. She suddenly saw the old wolf as an ominous sign. “Do not fear me,” The old wolf said in a low voice. “You cannot leave. Not yet!” Blue tensed. She then felt, at that moment, that she may not be just the ordinary wolf. “Come with me,” she said in a coaxing voice. She motioned with her scarred tail for Blue to come closer. “Tell me,” she said. “Exactly how you feel. About your pack. About your life.” Blue-as frightened as she was, was almost glad for a chance to spill out all of the injustice she was feeling. She opened her mouth, but the wolf cut her off. “No need,” she chuckled. “It's all unfair. Your pack mistreats you terribly. You are a target for their abuse, and no one there understands you.” Blue felt a new fire burn within her. The old wolf was right. It was all unfair. She didn't deserve this! “But now...you have a chance to set things right,” the wolf said, smiling. “How?” Blue said, almost too eagerly. “It is only fair that those wolves get what they deserve,” the wolf said. “It's justice, and it would be very unfortunate for you if things stayed the way they were. And I have come to help you.” Blue bared her teeth. She had a new craving, one she'd never had before. For revenge. “So, Blue, what do you say?” The old wolf grinned. “You can have everything you desire, and the wolves will learn their lesson. Help me help you there. Will you?” Blue nodded almost immediately. She had been tempted by the wold wolf's words, and she suddenly wanted everyone to suffer as she did. The old wolf let out a piercing laugh. She said a few words that were of a language Blue could not understand. Light flashed above them. Blue, frightened again, felt pain sear through her body. She dropped to the floor, writhing in pain as she felt changing take hold of her mind and body as the old wolf's laugh rang in her ears.  Noreen, Noreen, came a voice. What have you done with this little pup?
